Manual for Interactive Electronic Learning Material (IELM) Development
This manual is based on Microsoft Word 2007. However, outlined procedures support higher versions as well.
Microsoft Word (MS word) is one of the most widely used general-purpose applications software programmes for creating, formatting, editing, saving and printing any type of word-based document such as letters, report, memo, resumes research papers, email message and even web pages. Unfortunately, its interactive electronic learning material (IELM) development capabilities are unknown to many users of the programme.
One major advantage of using Microsoft Word is the flexibility of creating web pages without needing to edit in HTML coding system. It allows for customization and easy formatting that translate well into an html page. It allows users to create as many pages as needed and link to those pages within the website.
This manual, which outlines procedures for developing IELM will obviously equip course writers who handle theory-based courses with technical knowhow for transforming print-based course materials into web enabled e-learning materials to facilitate electronic learning implementation in their institutions.
