Felicia(Annette Understudy) is thrilled to be making her North Star Theatre debut in God of Carnage. Favorite past roles include Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Phoebe in As You Like It, and Thersites in Troilus and Cressida. Felicia studied acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a concentration in classical theatre. Felicia thanks her family for their continued support.
NSTC founding member Phil was last seen as Reg in The Full Monty and now returns as understudy for Michael in God of Carnage! Always ready to support a company effort, Phil is excited to be part of this production and sends his best to the incredible cast and crew. Here’s to a fantastic run—break a leg, everyone!
Kelly Dacus-Smith (Annette) is thrilled to be back on stage again with this incredibly talented cast! Kelly was last seen as “Vicki” in North Star Theater’s production of The Full Monty. Previous roles include “Claire” in NSTC’s Fuddy Meers and “Bottom” in NSTC’s very first production, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” When not acting, Kelly can be seen teaching as well as directing and choreographing many of NSTC’s big summer musicals and has proudly served as artistic director these past three years. Kelly would like to dedicate this performance to her beautiful daughters, Miranda and her graduating senior, Sabrina, who are brave and crazy enough to follow in their parents’ footsteps. Love you guys.
Carlos Ponton (Alan) is excited to be a part of another North Star Theater production. Last seen at North Star in Full Monty; other credits include Cabaret (Arena Stage), Jekyll & Hyde (Gateway Playhouse), I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! (Des Moines Playhouse), Full Monty (Phillipstown Depot Theater). Endless gratitude to this wonderful company and to Richard for being as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar.
Todd Smith (Michael) Prof. Callahan (Legally Blonde), The Full Monty (Dave) Sylvia (Greg), Shrek (Shrek), Joseph (Pharaoh), Godspell (Judas) all with North Star Theater Company in Sussex County NJ. Todd was fortunate enough to tour nationally with A Chorus Line (Mark), Blue’s Clues Live! (Mailbox) and internationally with Grease (Eugene). He was also seen in Six Degrees of Marvin Hamlisch (Symphony Space) and An Evening with Marvin Hamlisch (The Hollywood Bowl). Other regional credits include (Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, City of Angles, Li’l Abner, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The King and I. Todd is currently an airline pilot with United Airlines. He is thrilled to be sharing the stage with his wife Kelly (Director and Choreographer extraordinaire) and his friend of over 25 years Carlos. Todd has 2 amazing daughters Miranda (a MT major at Nazareth University) and Sabrina (senior at Sparta High School).
Bryn Taylor (Veronica) is making her NSTC debut in God of Carnage. She received a degree in theatre from Northwestern University, and recently completed a two-year program at the William Esper Studio studying under Bruce McCarty. A huge thanks to her wife, family, and the GOC cast and crew for restoring her faith in humanity.
Richard Lear is thrilled to be directing God Of Carnage for North Star Theater Company, having been the understudy for both male roles in the 2023 Off-Broadway revival. It has been his good fortune to have worked as assistant director on The Orchard, starring Mikhail Baryshnikov, Jessica Hecht, and Jeff Hayenga. He was also the assistant director and assistant musical director for the Off-Broadway production of 44 Lights. He has directed The Sunshine Boys, Egg Salad, Moving Day, and was the assistant musical director for Day In Hollywood, Night In The Ukraine. In addition to directing, Richard is an acting teacher and coach as well as a working professional actor. He was in Sump’n Like Wings Off-Broadway for the Mint Theater Company last Fall and did the Full Monty for North Star last January. He is currently in pre-production for a screenplay he wrote called Stranger. He lives in New Jersey with his husband and several stray cats they take care of after TNR. Richard is a graduate of Amy Poehler’s Improv School, Upright Citizens Brigade, a member of the New Jersey Repertory Company and Theater Breaking Through Barriers in New York City.
This is Linda's fifth North Star Production serving as stage manager (God of Carnage, Legally Blonde, Seussical, Shrek, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat). Linda enjoyed working on the stage management team with Tracey Bouma, and she would like to congratulate the director Richard Lear, the fun and talented cast, and the awesome production team of God of Carnage, especially Jodi for the amazing pictures and posts and Gina for the numerous props, on a fantastic show. Well done, all!
