Christopher A. Cage serves as Master Commissioner of Madison Circuit Court 3 in Madison County, Indiana.
Prior to taking the bench, Cage practiced law in the private sector. In addition to his judicial responsibilities, he holds the rank of Captain with the Indianapolis Fire Department.
Cage earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ball State University in 1993 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1996.
Appointed Master Commissioner in 2014, he presides over civil, family, and probate matters, applying practical insights gained from his emergency services experience to the judiciary.
He joined the Indianapolis Fire Department in 2003, advancing through the ranks to Lieutenant and then Captain, and currently serves as Executive Officer of Battalion 6. Over his career, he has responded to thousands of emergency incidents, providing leadership in high-risk operations.
He resides in the greater Indianapolis area and continues to serve central Indiana through his leadership in both public safety and the judicial system.
