The initial awe and fascination with my privileged peers turned into anger and resentment halfway through my first semester, when I got my first job. I worked at a specialty tea caf from 4 pm to midnight three nights a week. It was a cute caf and I liked the job, but I became incredibly jealous of everyone who got to spend those 24 hours studying, visiting museums, working on art, and socializing. I already felt so behind artistically and academically, and now I had to work twice as hard to keep up.

Whether our ancestors practiced confrontational scavenging is hard to determine, given the evidence available to us at this point, but it's not a crazy idea. It happens all the time in the (non-human) animal kingdom, as when a pack of hyenas scares a lion away from its kill.

None of this implies that our ancestors had to practice cannibalism of their dead. Any means of keeping human meat out of the mouths of predators would have been effective. But there's some evidence that suggests cannibalism (stone scrapings on human bones similar to the scrapings on the bones of other animals), and if calories were hard to come by, it might have been an ecological necessity.

If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, check your temperature once or twice a day in the days after exposure. Be sure to check your temperature before going to school or work. Screening for fever can help stop the spread of COVID-19.

How often you should take your temperature may depend on your job, health, and risk factors. If you are at risk for COVID-19 because of possible exposure to the virus, it is a good idea to check your temperature once or twice a day.

Then, to gauge how the music would influence their behavior, they asked participants to listen to the music and then determine whether or not they'd like to go first or second in a debate. As it turned out, those who listened to the high-power playlist volunteered to go first almost twice as often as those who listened to a less powerful playlist.

Mohammed al-Deif, the military commander of Hamas's Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, distributed a speech early on in which he mentioned in particular the situation around al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and conditions for Palestinians in Israeli prisons in justification for the attack. Tensions were high during the Jewish holidays, when an unprecedented 5,000 Jewish worshippers ascended the Holy Esplanade -- which Jewish tradition holds to be the site of the ancient Temple and where al-Aqsa is also located -- to pray during Sukkot; Jewish prayer there is prohibited by the decades-old Status Quo understandings between Israel and Jordan (the custodian of Jerusalem's Muslim and Christian holy sites). Palestinians in Gaza protested along the Israeli security fence. Yet compared to previous unrest related to al-Aqsa, or matters such as Palestinian prisoners, these demonstrations were hardly out of the ordinary. The fact that planning for the Hamas operation is likely to have been under way for months suggests there was no single trigger.

Still, it is hard to know what Hamas leaders' endgame is in an attack on Israel deadlier than any in decades. It would be inconceivable for them not to expect a major Israeli response, one that could further destroy Gaza, exact a terrible toll on its long-suffering inhabitants and possibly spell the end of Hamas governance in the enclave. The murder and kidnapping of innocent civilians during the assault will make it difficult for Western politicians who might otherwise call for restraint to do so, at least in the first few days of an Israeli offensive.

Israel may well send ground troops into Gaza in an attempt not only to punish Hamas but also to retrieve its kidnapped citizens. From its side, Hamas seeks to trade the hostages for the thousands of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons, though that seems a hard sell, at least any time soon, given the scale of Hamas's attack. The presence in Gaza of at least a hundred -- precise numbers are as yet unclear -- Israeli captives, whom Hamas could use as human shields, make for an even more complicated Israeli operation. An incursion will likely trigger a terribly bloody fight in which many more people could be killed, including Israeli soldiers, and parts of Gaza could suffer utter destruction. On the evening of 7 October, Israel cut off the electricity supply to the enclave, and the water supply is running low. The UN said 123,000 people were sheltering in its 44 schools around Gaza, adding that it had been forced to suspend food distribution to over 112,000 families.

The U.S. push for normalisation of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia is likely to be put on hold or at least to make little headway as long as fighting continues. Riyadh, like other Arab capitals, is keenly aware of the pro-Palestinian sentiments among the population it rules. It will have to think twice before risking the perception that it would be throwing the Palestinians under the bus by striking such a deal.

Jackson has kept himself busy since he and his K-pop group GOT7 left JYP Entertainment, collaborating with artists such as RAIN, continuing to run his label Team Wang, and forming hip-hop group PANTHEPACK. While he is still working with GOT7, Jackson has also gone in hard on English-language solo work, experimenting with an entire spectrum of musical genres across songs such as "Blow" and "Cruel."

I am trying something "new" for me in excel and am running into a wall. I downloaded your check boxes, and copied/pasted them in...great if I only need those 30. but I need 100. the new ones I add in format back to the old check box "format" location from the first cut and paste. SURELY I am missing something. This cannot be as hard as it seems. Why can I not "drag" the formatting with the checkbox. Is there a VBA script that would solve this whole frustrating malfunction.

I am new to the Excel Help Forum... posted first time and didn't see my post so I assumed it was rejected for no tick marks. Showed "zero posts" on my profile as well. Reposted with ticks. Now I see nothing and my profile says I posted twice. Now I'll not only not see any replies... but I'll be a rude double poster as well!!! Any help is appreciated. Love this site.

Imran Riaz Khan was twice arrested by the authorities in July 2022 and February 2023 on accusations of sedition. He was released in both cases in less than a week, and the charges were subsequently dropped.

"Cherry Bomb" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band NCT 127, the Seoul-based unit of boy group NCT, for their third eponymous extended play (2017) under SM Entertainment. The song was written by Jennifer Decilveo, Deepflow, Lim Jung-hyo, Oh Min-joo, Taeyong and Mark, whilst music composition was handled by numerous producers, including Dem Jointz, Deez, Michael Woods, Kevin White, Andrew Bazzi and MZMC. It has been described as a hardcore hip-hop track that contains a "colorful" composition, utilizing "complex synth and bass-infused" instrumentations. The accompanying music video premiered alongside the release of the single.

Following its initial release, "Cherry Bomb" received generally positive reviews from music critics. Writer Jeff Benjamin from Fuse called the song "edgy" and "explosive", oozing confidence which "makes the case" for NCT 127 to be an "experimental" act.[13] During an interview with the group, journalist Hong Dam-young described the song as "powerful hip-hop tune "with a "pulsating and brassy backing chorus".[17] In an album review from Seoulbeats, the song is said to be a "jam-packed from top to finish" track, and while it may "sound messy and disorganised", the final result eventually worked. Writer Margaret also went on to compliment the vocals of the song, citing its consistency with the rest of the track.[18] Writer Sarah Boumedda from The Kraze magazine commented how the song was "hard to reconcile" at first, but "begs" its listeners to repeat again after several times, highlighting certain musical section such as the bridge and "beautiful" vocal melody break.[19] The song also went on to appear in year-end critics lists by Billboard and Idolator, landing at number seventeen and twenty-one respectively. While Billboard chose the song for its "eerie vibe", Idolator noted its "sinister" synth line and "sick" hip-hop production which made the song "one of the hottest tracks" in 2017.[20][21]

While cold-pressed avocado oil is more nutrient dense, it also produces a vast amount of hard-to-rescue waste from the unused seeds, skins, and fibers that are leftover after the oil is extracted. Mechanical extraction techniques used to produce extra virgin avocado oils are relatively inefficient compared to traditional solvent extraction methods, with only 30-80% of the oil recovered in mechanical and centrifugation systems compared to 60-90% in solvent systems [*].

Repeat masking on each assembly was iteratively performed using RepeatMasker (v.4.1.2-p1). The first step masked used the default human repeat library, and the second step used a repeat library augmented by CHM13 satellite DNA sequences on the original assemblies after hard masking the initial repeat masked DNA. The augmented repeat library (final_consensi_gap_nohsat_teucer.embl.txt) is available at Zenodo ( ), and a parallelized repeat masking pipeline (RepeatMaskGenome.snakefile) is available at GitHub ( ). The union of the two steps generated the complete repeat masking. 2351a5e196
