كم كان رائعاً عودة الطلاب إلى مقاعد الدراسة في الأسبوع الأول بعد عطلة منتصف الفصل الدراسي. فقد انغمس طلابنا في مناهج مدرسة جيمس الثرية بالمعرفة والتي دائماً ما تروي أنهم الفضول التعليمي الذي لطالما تملكهم بأكثر الطرق حداثة وابتكاراً. ويسعدنا أنهم استمتعوا برحلاتهم الأولى إلى إكسبو 2020للتعرف إلى إمكانية ان يصبحوا وكلاء للتغيير واستكشاف مدن الغد حيث تتعايش الروبوتات والذكاء الاصطناعي مع الإنسانية. كما ويواصل طلابنا التفوق في جميع المجالات ونحن فخورون جدًا بهم جميعًا. ومن هنا نتوجه بخالص الشكر والامتنان لبطلتنا المبتكرة ظبية المناعي بالصف الخامس GB ونبارك لطالبتنا مريم محمود بالصف العاشر GB لتكريمها خلال فعاليات أسبوع الفضاء للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات. ولا ننسى فريق مؤتمر المدارس للأطراف نتقدم لهم بجزيل الشكر على عملهم الدؤوب لتقديم حلول مستدامة لبعض تحديات الكوكب.
كما نتوجه بشكرنا وتقديرنا لأعضاء مجتمع مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية لكونهم مصدر إلهامٍ دائم لنا جميعاً. ومع حلول شهر نوفمبر الذي أصبح على الأبواب نضع طموحنا الذي يمثل أبرز قيم برنامج “هويتي" نصب أعيننا والذي دائماً ما نشهده في قلب الإنجازات الاستثنائية للأمة.
أما بالنسبة للأسبوع المقبل، فإن أبرز معالمه ستتمثل في أن طلابنا سيمارسون مجموعة متنوعة من الأنشطة الفاعلة التي من شأنها تجسيد قيم يوم العلم الإماراتي احتفاء به.
ونتطلع قدماً إلى تجمعنا طوال شهر مليء بالمشاريع الابتكارية والمبادرات الطموحة، ولا ننسى تخصيص وقت للتركيز على السلامة البدنية والعقلية من خلال تحدي اللياقة في دبي وشهر نوفمبر الذي خصص للتركيز على صحة الرجال.
It has been a fantastic first week back to school after the mid-term break. Students have dived straight back in to our exciting knowledge-rich curriculum asking themselves big questions that they will now go on to answer in engaging and creative ways. Our students have enjoyed their first trips to Expo 2020 learning about how they can become agents of change and exploring cities of tomorrow where robots and artificial intelligence co-exist with Humanity. Our students continue to excel in all areas and we are so proud of them all. A special shout out this week to our Young Innovator Champion Dhabya Almanai in Year 5 GB, Expo2020 Space STEM Winner Mariam Mahmoud Year 10 GB and our amazing SCOPE Conference Team who are continuing the excellent work in finding sustainable solutions to some of the planet’s greatest challenges.
We are inspired every day by the members of our school community. As we move in to November we reflect on the HAWIATEE value of ambition at the heart of the nation’s remarkable achievements. Next week students will lead our range of exciting Flag Day activities, celebrating the incredibly special values represented by the UAE flag. We also look forward to everyone coming together throughout this month of ambitious projects and initiatives as we focus on our mental and physical wellbeing through the Dubai Fitness Challenge and men’s health month, Movember.

موافقة أولياء الأمور على التقاط الصور وتصوير الفيديوهات: من المهم أن نكمل تحديثنا السنوي الخاص بسجلات موافقة أولياء الأمور بشأن استخدام الصور والفيديوهات المصورة بالمدرسة. ويرجى من أولياء الأمور الضغط على هذا الرابط وإكمال نموذج الموافقة على الصور والفيديوهات على الإنترنت. على أن يتم إكمال النموذج عن كل طالب بالمدرسة.
تحدي اللياقة البدنية في دبي(المرحلة الإبتدائية): يتمتع الطلاب الآن بفرصة رائعة لقضاء وقت ممتع باللعب في الهواء الطلق بشكل يومي، وذلك كجزء من فعاليات دبي 3030 والتي تهدف إلى حث الطلاب أن يكونوا أكثر نشاطاً وقضاء أجمل الأوقات في الهواء الطلق. يرجى التأكد من إرسال قبعة مع الطفل إلى المدرسة، فضلاً عن كمية كافية من المياه ليبقى الطفل منتعشاً طوال اليوم.
تحدي اللياقة البدنية للمرحلتين الابتدائية والثانوية: يسعدنا دعوة أولياء الأمور والطلاب والموظفين للانضمام إلى مسابقة عد الخطوات التي تقيمها مدرسة جيمس برشاء الوطنية وذلك كجزء من فعاليات دبي30x30 لرصد الأفراد الذين بإمكانهم إحراز أكبر عدد من الخطوات على مدار 30 يوماً. وسيحصل أفضل ثلاثة مشاركين على جوائز قيمة.
تصوير طلاب وطالبات السنوات 1-7 ليوم العلم: يرجى الملاحظة أنه ستجرى جلسات تصوير لطلاب الصفوف من 1-7 وذلك استعدادًا ليوم العلم. لذا نرجو منكم التأكد من ضمان ارتداء الطلاب لزيهم الرسمي المخصص لحصص الرياضة يوم الثلاثاء 2 نوفمبر.
تقييمات المرحلة الثانوية: سوف تبدأ مهلة تقييم نهاية الفصل الدراسي ابتداءاً من السابع من شهر نوفمبر . لذا يرجى الاطلاع على قسم النشرة الخاص بالمرحلة الثانوية للوصول إلى الروابط التي تحوي الجداول ذات الصلة ومصادر ونصائح المراجعة
Parent/Guardian Lanyards: Please remember that any parent or caregiver who comes to the school is required to wear the yellow “parent” lanyard at all times. If you do not have the lanyard, please have your Emirates ID to hand as you will be required to identify yourself to security, who will issue you with a green “visitor” sticker.
Car Park and Road Safety: The health and safety of our school community must always remain our highest priority. We respectfully request the support of our parents with our GNS Car Park and Road Safety Campaign:
- GNS Parents, guardian and staff… Always drive slowly and carefully
- GNS Students… Always wear a seatbelt / Get out of vehicles on to the pavement – never step off in to the road / Cross the road with an adult or member of staff / Look both ways before crossing
Reporting absences: Parents are requested to report the absence of their child as early as possible by sending an email to attendance_gns@gemsedu.com with the child’s full name, class and reason for the absence.
Photo and Video Consent: It is essential that we complete our annual update of our parental consent records for the use of photographs and videos taken in school. Parents are kindly requested to click here and complete our online Photo and Video Consent Form. The form must be completed for each child attending school.
Dubai fitness challenge (Primary): As part of Dubai 3030 and a drive for students to become more active and gain more time outside, students now have the exciting opportunity to go outside and play daily. Please ensure your child brings a hat to school and enough water to remain hydrated throughout the day.
Dubai fitness challenge (Primary and Secondary): As part of Dubai 3030, parents, students and staff are invited to join in GNS Step Count Competition to see who can complete the highest number of steps over the 30 days. Prizes are available for the top 3 steppers.
Y1-7 Flag Day Photos: Please note that Year 1-7 students will have a photo session in preparation of Flag Day. We please need your support in ensuring students wear their PE uniform on Tuesday 2nd November.
Assessments Secondary: From the 7th November our end of term assessment window starts including year 11-13 pre-mock exams. Please see the secondary section of this newsletter where you will be able to find links to your child’s timetable, revision resources and useful revision hints and tips.

Vice-Principal كم كان رائعاً عودة طلبتنا إلى مقاعد الدراسة بعد عطلة منتصف الفصل.
عمل مدرسونا على قدم وساق لإعداد طرق مبتكرة لتقديم المواضيع الجديدة في المواد الدراسية على أكمل وجه. ففي المرحلتين الـتأسيسية والابتدائية عاد الطلاب إلى الفصول الدراسية ليتفاجئوا بأنشطة تعليمية وترفيهية تنطوي على حل لغز وجود آثار أقدام نمر غامض في مسرح المدرسة والمشاركة في ورش عمل تتناول مواضيع طبية مبسطة، فضلاً عن طرق تعليمية أخرى تأسر قلوب الأطفال وعقولهم حرصاً منا على توفير بيئة مدرسية جاذبة. أما بالنسبة للمراحل الثانوية، فقد عملنا على توسيع نطاق مناهج الثانوية لتشمل خروج الطلاب من الفصول الدراسية والتعلم من الخبرات الواقعية وذلك من خلال زيارتهم لـ فعاليات إكسبو 2020 والتي وفرت بدورها فرصة ذهبية لتوسيع مدارك الطلاب الفكرية وتوطيد المعرفة العلمية.
نتطلع قدماً للمزيد من التجارب التعليمية المثمرة.
It was lovely to have our students back with us after the half term.
Our teachers had wasted no time by preparing some innovative ways to introduce the students to their new topics.
In Foundation Stage and Primary, the students returned to school to find mock crime scenes, mysterious tiger footprints, medicine making workshops and teachers putting on their greatest show creating lots of exciting hooks for the new learning ahead. In Secondary, our curriculum has already extended outside of the classroom this week and into Expo 2020. Our visits have given our secondary students fantastic opportunities to learn beyond the walls of the classroom, using their experiences to support the subjects in the classroom.
We are looking forward to lots of amazing new learning!

Head of FS/Primary Girls لقد تميز أطفال الروضة الثانية بأدائهم التعليمي بكل ما تحمله الكلمة من معنى. فكانوا منكبين على قراءة نص جديد عن النجوم وقد أطلقوا العنان لمخيلاتهم الخصبة لتصوير سبل التقاط النجوم من السماء، فمنهم من تخيل بأنه يقفز على "ترامبلوين" وآخرون اكتفوا بالاستعانة بشبكة ضخمة للوصول إلى النجوم. ومع تحسن الأحوال الجوية انطلق الأطفال إلى ساحة المدرسة ليستمتعوا بالركض واللعب مع الأصدقاء. أما بالنسبة لأطفال الروضة الأولى فقد كانوا منصبين على إيجاد إجابة لسؤال: تلألئ أيتها النجوم الصغيرة، كيف لي أن أخمن من أنت؟ وقد أحبوا إنشاد الأغنية سوياً. أحسنتم عملاً يا أطفال الروضة.
FS2 have been superstars in every sense of the word this week. They have been reading their new text all about stars and have loved thinking about how they might catch stars out of the sky - some thought a really big trampoline, others a huge net! We loved their fabulous imagination. It has also been wonderful, now the weather is cooler, to get outside to run, play, learn and have lots of fun with friends. In FS1 the children have been so busy thinking about their big question: Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are! They have loved making stars, singing songs and thinking about how they are special. Well done FS another incredible week!

رحلات مدرسية إلى إكسبو! انهمك طلاب السنة الأولى والثانية في حل ألغاز غامضة في ممرات المدرسة وساحة اللعب، كما جرى إطلاق فرص قيادية طلابية في مادة الرياضيات لطلاب المرحلة التأسيسية الثانية.
وما كل ذلك إلا القليل من التجارب التعليمية المثمرة التي حظي بها طلاب المرحلة الابتدائية في الأسبوع الأول من الفصل الدراسي الجديد. إلا أن أبرز ما ورد خلال الأسبوع هو عودة تلامذتنا بشكل آمن إلى مقاعد الدراسة بعد الاستراحة.
ومع اقترابنا من انتهاء الفصل الدراسي فإننا نعمل على قدم وساق لضمان استمرارية شعور الطلاب بالأمان في حرم المدرسة ونعدّهم لتحمل المسؤولية اللازمة في اقتناص الفرص التعليمية.
يرجى العلم بأنه ابتداءً من يوم الأحد سيتم إرسال نموذج تنظيم المعرفة بجانب نبذة عن منهج الأسبوع وذلك لطلاب السنوات 1-6 لكل من مواد اللغة الانجليزية والرياضيات والعلوم واللغة العربية. كما سيتم التعرف على كيفية التعامل مع النموذج من خلال وحدة تعليمية مكثفة في ورقة واحدة، مما سيتيح لأولياء الأمور التعرف بشكل سريع إلى أبرز ما سيتم تغطيته في المنهج لتقديم المساعدة اللازمة للطالب في المنزل. وسوف نعقد في وقت لاحق ورشة عمل تتناول كيفية التعامل مع النموذج بقيادة السيدة سارة ليونارد لتزويد أولياء الأمور بالإرشادات اللازمة.
School trips to Expo! Crimes scenes in our corridors and playground, which our Year 1 and 2 students are investigating. The launch of a Maths student leadership opportunities for KS2 students.
These are just a few of the exciting experiences that Primary students have been involved in this first week of the new half term. Our highlight however, has been having the students return safely after their break.
As we move towards the end of the first term our focus is ensuring students continue to feel safe in school and ready to take risks and ownership in their learning opportunities.
On Sunday alongside your child’s curriculum overview we will be sending home ‘Knowledge Organisers’ for Year 1-6 in English, maths and science. A knowledge organiser takes all the ‘knowledge’ we will teach your child in a unit of learning and condenses it onto one sheet. This will give you a snapshot of the key knowledge they will learn and enable you to further support your child at home. We will shortly run a parent workshop with Mrs Sarah Leonard all about how you can use the knowledge organisers!

يسرنا إعلام أولياء أمور طلاب المرحلة الابتدائية عن بدء أول ورشة عمل لمادة العلوم بقيادة كل من تابثا ديكسن، مسؤولة قسم العلوم وسيرينا باتيل( مساعدة المدير- المرحلة الابتدائية) وذلك في يوم الثلاثاء الموافق لـ 2 نوفمبر في تمام الساعة 10:00ص ولغاية الساعة 10:30 ص.
يتمثل أبرز ما ستتناوله ورشة العمل كيفية تدريس مادة العلوم في المنزل وتقديم المساعدة اللازمة للطفل لفهم المادة بشكل سليم.

حظي طلابنا ببداية إيجابية للنصف الثاني من الفصل الدراسي وكان من الممتع مشاهدتهم والإثارة تملؤهم لزيارة فعاليات إكسبو2020. وقد نالت الرحلة إلى إكسبو استحسان طلابنا وأثنوا عليها حتى أن أحد الطلاب علق قائلاً بأنها رحلة العمر. أما في حرم المدرسة فقد كان طلاب السنة 11 منمهكين في استعداداتهم لتقييمات الشهادات الدولية العامة للتعليم الثانوي إلى جانب تطوير مهاراتهم الفنية. كما تمرن الطلاب خلال حصص التربية الرياضية على تطوير مهارات التمريرات القصيرة والتمركز وكذلك تطوير مهارات رياضية التنس. أما بالنسبة للطالبات فقد انصب تركيزهن على صقل مهارات الهجوم في كرة السلة.
ومن المقرر أن تبدأ فترة التقييم لنهاية الفصل ابتداءً من السابع من شهر نوفمبر. لذا، يرجى الضغط على الروابط أدناه للوصول إلى الجدول الذي يتضمن التقييم الخاص بمختلف المراحل التعليمية وكذلك مصادر المراجعة. وستجرى امتحانات تجريبية تمهيدية لطلاب السنوات 11-13 بغرض إعدادهم للامتحانات التجريبية التي ستقام في شهر يناير. ونود لفت عنايتكم إلى ضرورة إعداد الطالب للامتحانات التجريبية التمهيدية التي ستجرى في شهر نوفمبر والامتحانات التجريبية التي سيخضع لها الطلاب في شهر يناير، إذ أنها ستأخذ شكل امتحانات الشهادة الدولية العامة للتعليم الثانوي. كما يتيعن على طلاب السنوات 11-13 مراجعة مناهج الشهادة الدولية العامة للتعليم الثانوي / الشهادة العامة للمستوى التعليمي المتقدم كل ليلة في المنزل وحضور الحصص التدريبية بعد الساعات الدراسية ذات الصلة. فيما يلي روابط بطرق المراجعة.

Students have had an excellent start to the second half term and it was wonderful to see the excitement when our secondary students started and returned from their visits to the EXPO. One student commented that it was the trip of a lifetime! In school students in year 11 have been busy cooking in their food lessons preparing for their IGCSE assessments as well as working on their artistic skills. In PE the boys have been practicing their football skills by developing their short passing and positioning skills and also developing their Tennis skills. Year 9 the girls have been refining their skills of attack in netball.
From the 7th November our end of term assessment window starts. Please follow the links below to access your child’s relevant year group to see the assessment timetable and revision resources. For year 11-13 these will be pre-mock exams to support students for their mock examinations starting in January. These will be in the form of IGCSE papers so it is vitally important students prepare fully for the pre-mocks in November and mock examinations in January. Students in year 11-13 should be revising all IGCSE / IAL content each night at home and attending their relevant intervention sessions after school. There is a link below to revision tips.

Post -16 Update
جرى تسجيل مدرسة جيمس برشاء الوطنية كمركز التقديم للجامعات البريطانية من خلال مساعدة الطلاب في العثور على الجامعة المناسبة ومساعدة الجامعات في العثور على الطلاب المناسبين وتعرف اختصاراً بـ يوكاس، مما يعني أننا نأخذ على عاتقنا مسؤولية توجيه الطلاب ومساعدتهم على النحو اللازم لتقديم طلب الالتحاق في الجامعات في المملكة المتحدة.
ورش العمل المهنية: نتوجه بعميق امتناننا وجزيل شكرنا للجامعة الأمريكية في دبي لترتيب ورش عمل مخصصة لطلاب المرحلة التعليمية ما بعد سن السادسة عشر، حيث تناول السيد راج عدة مواضعات مع طلابنا تضمنت خياراتهم المستقبلة وإمكانية التوظيف وبرامج الدرجات العلمية. وقد سُرَ طلابنا لمعرفة واقع معدل التوظيف المرتفع الذي تحظى به الجامعة الأمريكية في دبي لاسيما تخصص الاتصالات.
وقد حضر ممثل من جامعة كامبريدج في المملكة المتحدة وألقى محاضرة على طلابنا متناولاً فيها كيفية كتابة بيان شخصي وجرى تزويدهم بنصائح قيمة عن حيثيات جعل البيان الشخصي متفرداً ومميزاً على كافة الأصعدة. ونحن الآن على يقين تام بأن سر النجاح يكمن في الاعداد والاستعداد.
علاوة على ذلك، أشاد مقدمو ورش العمل المهنية بتفاعل طلابنا وفضولهم وحرصهم على بناء مستقبل واعد.

GNS has been registered as UCAS centre; this means our students will receive guidance and support from us if they wish to apply for university admission in the UK.
Careers Workshops: We are grateful to the American University of Dubai (AUD) for arranging an exciting workshop for our Post 16. Mr. Raj spoke to our students about their future choices, employability and degree program. Our students were delighted to find out that AUD has a high employability rate, especially in Communications!
All the way from the UK, a representative from the University of Cambridge delivered a session to our post 16 students on how to write a personal statement and shared tips on how to make it stand out. We know preparation is key!
Feedback from our presenters was also excellent with praising how engaged and curious our students are.

Ministry of Education Subject Update

Head of Islamic Department (Boys)واصل قسم التربية الإسلامية احتفاله بشهر ربيع الأول، شهر سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم حيث ما زلنا نتحدث عن النور والحب والحياة المثالية التي عاشها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، لذلك كانت أغلب الدروس في هذا الأسبوع ضمن محور السيرة النبوية والتي تتعلق بسيرة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وآل بيته الأطهار وزوجاته رضي الله عنهن.
وتنوعت أنشطة قسم التربية الإسلامية في هذه الدروس بين التعبير عن محبة رسول الله وآل بيته كتابياً، وبين استخدام الرسومات والخرائط الذهنية، واستخدام منصة النور التعليمية (تطبيق راشد وشمسة) للأنشطة التفاعلية داخل الغرف الصفية. أترككم مع صور الطلبة واستمتاعهم بالأنشطة المتنوعة.
The Islamic Education Department has continued to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, who was born in Rabi’al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. Most of the lessons delivered to our pupils this week revolved around the life of the Prophet Mohammad, his family and his wives, may Allah be pleased with them all. We are inspired by the tremendous love that the Prophet granted to his family and the ideal life he led. Students have taken part in expressing their love of the Prophet Mohammad and his family, peace be upon them, in writing. Furthermore, students have deepened their knowledge through engaging in activities that have included drawings, mental maps and the usage of the Al-Noor Educational Platform (Rashid and Shamsah app) within the classroom.

Assistant Principal(Innovation and Social Responsibility) جرى تكريم طلاب السنة العاشرة لكونهم جزءاً من أسبوع الفضاء في إكسبو- للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات، والذي استضافه جناح إيطاليا في إكسبو 2020، حيث قدم طلابنا مساهمات ومشاركات فاعلة. وبهذه المناسبة، نبارك لـ مريم محمود فوزها في مسابقة تطوير البرمجيات التي تعرف "بالهاكاثون" حيث أوجدت حلاً مبتكراً بمساعدة فريقها لألعاب الفيديوهات التعليمية عن الفضاء.
تشارك مريم تجربتها معنا وتقول:
"أنا ممتنة لمشاركتي في "هاكاثون" استكشاف الفضاء في إكسبو 2020. وقد استضاف الجناح الإيطالي هذا الحدث وكان ممتعًا للغاية! وأكثر ما استمتعت به هو فرصة الالتقاء بالعديد من الأشخاص من كافة أقطار العالم. تعلمت الكثير عن الثقافات الجديدة وتبادلنا الكثير من المعلومات القيمة. تمثلت فكرة مجموعتي ببرمجة لعبة تعليمية لجهاز جديد ابتكرناه يسمى Z-space. يتكون الجهاز من ثلاثة أجزاء: قلم وشاشة ونظارة، حيث من المفترض ارتداء النظارات لرؤية الصورة المعروضة على الشاشة بشكل ثلاثي الأبعاد. ويمكن للطلاب استخدام القلم لتفكيك الشكل واستكشافه من زوايا مختلفة. وإذا قاموا بالضغط على جزء معين من الشكل تظهر بيانات توضيحية عنه على شاشاتهم. تم تثبيت اللعبة بشكل أساسي في هذا الجهاز. يمكن لعبها كتحدٍ أو لأغراض التعلم، حيث ستكتشف فيها كواكب أخرى ترقى فيها بالمعرفة إلى مستوى آخر. يهدف مشروعنا إلى جعل دراسات الفضاء أكثر تشويقًا وجاذبية. وأتطلع لرؤية أجهزتنا تُستخدم في المعامل المدرسية في المستقبل. كان زملائي في الفريق رائعين وآمل أن أعمل معهم مرة أخرى ذات يوم. كان الجميع داعمين للغاية مما جعلني أشعر بالأمان. شعرت بالفخر عندما أعلنوا فوز فريقنا. بشكل عام، لقد كانت تجربة رائعة وقد استمتعت بكل جزء منها. "
Our Year 10 students were honored to be part of the Space STEM hosted by the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 where their contribution and participation were recognised. Well Done Mariam Mahmoud for winning the hackathon contest with her team’s innovative solution of a Space education video game.
Mariam shares her experience with us:
“I am so thankful to have participated in the space exploration hackathon at Expo 2020. The event was hosted by the Italian pavilion and it was so fun! The best part in my opinion was getting to meet many people from all over the world. I got to learn a lot about new cultures and get familiar with them. Everyone that was there had amazing ideas and we got to share them and expand on them as well. My group’s idea was to program an educational game for a new device that we came up with called Z-space. The device consists of three parts: a pen, screen and glasses. Students are supposed to wear the glasses to see a picture projected on the screen in front of them as a hologram. They can use the pen to take apart the shape and explore it from different perspectives. If they click on a certain part, information about it will show up on their screens. The game is basically installed into this device. It can be played as a challenge or just for learning purposes. Each time you explore a planet, you move a level up! Our project is meant to make space studies more interesting and engaging. It would be incredible to see our device being used in school labs in the future. My teammates were amazing and I hope to work with them again one day. Everyone there was so supportive and made me feel safe. I felt so proud when they announced our team to be the winners. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed every bit of it. ”
بدأ طلابنا رحلاتهم إلى إكسبو هذا الأسبوع وقد استمتعوا بتجربتهم المدرسية في زيارة أجنحة الاستدامة والكون في الحركة وعالم الفرص.
يرجى التأكد مما يلي في حال ذهاب الطالب إلى الرحلة:
• تناول وجبة الإفطار.
• ارتداء زي المدرسة بشكل كامل أو زي الرياضة وأحذية مريحة (يوصى بارتداء أحذية الرياضة)
• القبعة عند الحاجة (حيث ستكون بعض الأنشطة في الهواء الطلق)
• وضع واقي الشمس قبل الرحلة
• إحضار زجاجة مياه كاملة (توجد محطات تعبئة في كل مكان)
• حمل حقيبة ظهر صغيرة وخفيفة مع وجبة غداء سهلة الأكل. (مثال شطيرة وبعض الفواكه)
• عدم حمل أشياء غير ضرورية في الحقيبة
•السلامة أولاً، لذا يرجى الالتزام بالبقاء مع المجموعة المحددة للطالب في جميع الأوقات.
Our students started their Expo trips this week and they have thoroughly enjoyed their school experience of visiting the Sustainability; Universe in Motion; World of Opportunity Pavilions.
If your child is going on the Expo trip, please ensure that:
•They have breakfast in the morning.
•Wear full school uniform or PE Uniform and wear comfortable shoes (PE shoes are recommended)
•Carry a hat (as some experiences will be outdoor)
•Apply sunscreen before their trip
•Bring one FULL water bottle (There are refill stations everywhere)
•Carry a small, light backpack with easy to eat packed lunch. (example sandwich and some fruits)
•Not to carry unnecessary items in your trip bag
•Their safety is important to us, they need to stay with their group at all times.

تهدف أكاديمية سلسلة المحادثات المستقبلية إلى تسليط الضوء على أثر التقنيات الناشئة وتعزيز المناقشات حول كيفية التأقلم والازدهار في عالم يشهد زيادة ملحوظة في استخدامات النظم الألية وحضور طاغي لبرامج الذكاء الاصطناعي وتغيير متسارع في مختلف أنماط الحياة.
وكما أسلفنا، فإن عالمنا يشهد وتيرة سريعة من التغيير بسبب تقنيات السرعة التي تعمل على عرقلة سير مختلف القطاعات الاجتماعية وقلب الموازين فيها لاسيما في قطاع التعليم. ولكي نعدّ طلابنا وأولياء الأمور والفرق القيادية لمواجهة مستقبلاً غير واضح المعالم قامت الأكاديمية بإطلاق جلسات المحادثات المستقبلية لتتناول كل ما يتعلق بالتأقلم مع تغييرات عالمنا المتسارعة.

The Academy Future Talks series aims to highlight the impact of emerging technologies and promote discussions on how we can adapt and thrive in a world of increased automation, ubiquitous A.I. and accelerating change.
We live in a world of accelerating change. Exponential technologies are disrupting and upending all sectors of society, including Education. To better prepare our students, teachers, parents and leadership teams for this uncertain future, the Academy has launched its Future Talks Sessions.

تكرس مدرسة جيمس برشاء الوطنية جهودها لنشر الوعي حول قضايا صحة الرجال كسرطان البروستاتا وسرطان الخصية وظاهرة إقبال الكثير على الانتحار. سيُطلق على هذا الشهر اسم "موفمبر" لتشجيع جميع موظفينا وطلابنا على تنمية شاربهم والمساعدة في بدء المحادثات التي يمكن أن تساعد الآخرين بشكل أو بآخر.
سيشارك طلاب المرحلة الابتدائية في التحدي الذي يعرف بـ غروفمبر Gro-vember حيث يقومون بتنمية الشوارب خلال الشهر باستخدام النباتات!
أما بالنسبة لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية فسيعملون على جمع الأموال ونشر الوعي من خلال لعبة مراوغة ودية بين المعلمين والطلاب. نأمل في رفع الوعي حول أهمية قضايا صحة الرجال من خلال الأنشطة الفاعلة هذه كما نسعى لمنح طلابنا المعرفة اللازمة وحثهم على التحدث بأهمية صحة الرجال، ليس فقط في حرم المدرسة بل للمقربين منهم أيضاً.
During the month of November, GNS is dedicated to raising awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide. This month will be craftily called ‘Movember’ to encourage all our male staff and students to grow their moustache, and help start conversations that could potential help others.
Primary students will take part by participating in Gro-vember. They will be growing moustaches during the month using plants!
Secondary students will raise money and awareness through a friendly game of dodgeball, teachers vs students! With these events we hope to educate all those involved and, in turn, give our students the knowledge and confidence to talk about the importance of Men’s Health not only within the school setting, but with the men who are important in their lives.

يسرنا إعلان تجاوب هيئة الطرق والمواصلات في دبي مع الملاحظات الواردة بشأن حركة المرور حول مجموعة مدارس جيمس في البرشاء وقد جرى اتخاذ الاجراءات اللازمة بهذا الشأن.
لابد ان تكونوا قد لاحظتم أنه تم تزويدنا بعددٍ من الحواجز الحمراء والبيضاء ومعدات البناء وطاقمٍ من العمال لكل من الجزء الأمامي والخلفي للمدرسة، الأمر الذي قد يكون لفت انتباهكم في الآونة الأخيرة.
وبناءاً عليه، سيتم إجراء إعادة تطوير لشبكة الطرق حول مجموعة مدارس جيمس على نطاق واسع والتي من شأنها تسهيل حركة المرور والخروج من وإلى داخل المدرسة. لذا، نحيطكم علماً بأنه قد نواجه عرقلة في حركة السير من وقت إلى آخر، كما هو الحال في كافة مشاريع البناء وبالتالي فإننا نود تحذيركم بشكل مسبق من توقع حدوث بعض التأخير أو الإغلاق لأجزاء معينة من شبكة الطريق حول موقع البناء خلال الأشهر المقبلة. وسنبذل ما في وسعنا لموافاتكم بكل ما هو جديد حول عرقلة السير المحتملة في وقت مبكر بقدر الإمكان.
نرجو أن يتسع صدركم إلى حين إتمام أعمال البناء ونرجو منكم التعاون مع موظفينا أثناء قيامهم بتوجيه حركة المرور حول المدرسة بغرض تقليل عرقلة السير ولتسهيل المرور بطرق معينة.
يرجى العلم بأنه من المتوقع إتمام أعمال إعادة التطوير بحلول شهر يونيو، إلا أن هيئة الطرق للمرور والمواصلات أصدرت إرشادات بتنفيذ أي عمل يقتضي بإغلاق الطريق أو مناطق وقوف السيارات أثناء عطلة الأسبوع أو العطلات الرسمية حيثما أمكن، وذلك بغرض تقليل التعطيل.
We are pleased to advise that the Roads and Traffic Authority of Dubai (RTA) have listened to the feedback received about the traffic around our set of schools here in Al Barsha and they are taking action!
You may have already noticed a number of red and white barriers and construction equipment and workers at both the front and back of the school.
There will be large scale redevelopment of the road network around the block of schools, which once complete, will make getting into and out of the school much easier.
However, as with all construction projects, there will be some disruption from time to time and as such we would like to fore-warn our families to expect some delays or closures of certain parts of the road network around the site over the coming months. We will do our best to keep you updated on these potential disruptions as early in advance as we can.
Please bear with us whilst these works take place and cooperate with our staff as they direct the traffic around our school, as we always try to ensure the least disruption to your day by channeling the traffic in certain ways.
It is currently expected that the work will be completed by June, however the RTA have advised that wherever possible, any work requiring the closure of the road or parking areas will be done over weekends or during holiday times, to minimise disruption.

We are inviting you as part of our valued GNS community to generously share your knowledge, passions and experience with us. We want our students to see how their learning connects to the real world and life experiences. We proudly have the most incredible and curious learners who would love to ask you questions about your profession and areas of expertise.
Are you an architect, an engineer or an interior designer? Year 3 would love your help when they design their own city to rise out of the desert sands.
Are you an entrepreneur or CEO? Year 6 would love to talk to you about how to set up their own companies and support the community.
Are you a designer, artist or musician? Our students would love to get your top tips, insights and ideas into their art projects or design tasks.
We kindly would ask for 30 minutes of your time to talk to our students. Those 30 invaluable minutes would truly amplify the learning for our students.

At the end of last year, we launched the GEMS Jewels of Kindness program which seeks to exemplify students exhibiting core values including compassion, kindness, respect, helpfulness and empathy.
The aim of this program is to emphasize the importance of values education to help our children become better world citizens.
