I got the process working by making a preset "template", but the problem I'm running into is if a user already has custom presets created. The template that I'm pushing out doesn't display until I delete their presets and restart the computer. Deleting the custom presets isn't that big of a deal since the ones we want to push out should cover what they're trying to do, but asking them to reboot their computer for the presets to show up is something that I'd like to avoid. Is there a way to get around this?

It is working as expected. The Printer Settings user preset defines the attributes of a printer. The Physical Printers preset then adds on specific connection information for an actual printer. If you have only one printer (of a given type, Mk3S, Mini etc), it's a one-to-one relationship so kind of superfluous. If you have more than one printer, the situation changes. You can assign a printer user preset to multiple physical printers. In my case, I have one user preset for "My Mk3S+", which contains custom startup and end gcode, and it is assigned to both my printers, they now share the same custom gcode. You can also assign multiple user presets to any one physical printer, so each of my printers has user presets for the standard 0.4, but also 0.25, 0.6, and 0.8 mm nozzles assigned to it. This purpose of the whole system is to allow you to define custom presets that are applied across many printers with different connection info.

Well, that's how it works, but I'm not saying it's optimal. Certainly for one printer, it feels sort of superfluous even though you could still get some benefit out of it if you had several nozzle profiles. But I consider this an aspect of Prusaslicer that could be significantly improved. For one, the whole drop down menu becomes unwieldy. I have only 4 printers but already have 12 printer user presets and 10 physical printer profiles. It's a lot of scrolling and easy to pick a wrong one. A super simple improvement would be to put the physical profiles on top of the menu, and have the user and system presets below. Or have some sort of "Favorites" menu. Or change the workflow to only show the printer user presets for slicing, and then have a Send to Printer button that shows a list of available physical printers.

I'm having the same issue. The check box to save the preset label is not there when I create a new label. It used to be there and I created 4 presets that way, but now it's not and I can't find anywhere else to do this. Is there a limit to the number of presets you can have?

I have 6 label presets and wanted to add another one and the option to do so is gone.....Etsy is always changing things and usually never notify sellers. I also noticed on a listing that when I went in to edit it, there was more details options.

basically the point of this is that currently, Lightroom CC has a bug where it's not "designating" your presets as needing to be in the Mobile version via grouping. I'm guessing eventually they'll fix it... but yeah it's not working for now... so this . well it worked for me.. but it was a headache.

I work on the site as usual, no new updates or installs of plugins everything is normal. After quitting for the day and going back to it the next morning every singe one is gone (meaning not in the list of presets), leaving all the modules in their default state. Theme Options also are reverted to defaults, removing any code added to the Integrations panel.

God this is frustrating. It seems every time Adobe "helps" me out by upgrading some of the Creative Cloud applications, they bone the pooch by screwing up preferences and presets. Lucky me, I have some new InDesign version (13.0.1) that's been auto-magically installed for me, and the presets I use to export to my printing service are gone. Completely. Seems to happen time and time again when Adobe makes such changes. My workspace settings in Photoshop get trashed, keyboard settings get trashed. Something always gets trashed. Believe me, it isn't "progress" you're giving me, Adobe, it's headaches.

What kind of presets are you working with? InDesign has quite a few kinds: Do you mean PDF presets (found in File > Export > Adobe PDF). Do you mean Print Presets (File > Print > Print Presets)? What operating system are you running?

However, there are about 3k presets in the "User Presets" folder stuck. They are not visible on my Mac (not even when going into "Manage Prests"). They are only visible on my iPhone 7 Plus in Lightroom Mobile.

It's great to hear that there are updates coming and things being fixed. Having the ability to sync presets and profiles is huge! I love it. Looking forward to more and better organizational tools though.

I spoke to adobe support and there's no way to do this. I did delete files in the cr_settings folder ( -ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/how-to-delete-presets-in-...) and that did remove them from Lightroom Desktop (CC) but because they were already uploaded to the web (the repository of truth), the deleted state doesn't sync, and you're stuck with desktop and web/mobile being out of sync.

Not the most elegant way to do it, and you definitely want to test it ahead of time (don't use my numbers as that's for my exact screen). You'll have to do some things like make sure the app/browser window is in the same position, the delays for clicks is correct (the confirm click might need to be delayed by a few extra ms), and for me I had to make sure that I started the macro with the browser window in focus, but after some playing around it worked well enough I set the 'repeat' to 50 and have been just hitting the macro execution key (F4) while I have breaks in working, and have almost deleted all 600+ presets that were duplicated.

Thank you Jim Hess! So I got the "presets" to load in LR CC but they appear to be individual filters? Each one is a singular color... Blue tone, Purple tone, Monotone...etc etc. I think I was expecting to see the ones that downloaded "Summer Presets", Fall Presets" etc etc. Did yours upload in LR CC this way?

This is a really old post, but maybe someone will see this. I am having the same problem you just described (the presets uploaded individually). Did you ever figure out how to correct this? If so, I am all ears.

If Presets appear in 'Groups' in the Preset panels it is because the Preset.XMP has a 'Group' name defined within the .xmp file. You can move presets from Group to Group by a [Right-Click] for the menu option 'Move to Group...' if you wish to re-arrange.

Hello everyone, here is my first topic on the creation of my presets under TVEAI v3.x

I worked on creating two presets in Proteus, the first for 4K Ultra HD output and the second 8K Ultra HD. Feel free to give your opinions here. I will work soon on preset for DVD to 1080p, VHS to 1080p

on the one clip I tested it (VHS v1), A lot of details were lost compared to to Blury4k preset (tested both Theia & Proteus) .

but i only tested one clip, 2sec preview. I upscale to 1080p with all presets i tested, on the same 2 sec preview clip.

I recently had some extraneous presets that I decided I didn't want cluttering up my LR presets list, and went in to delete them. When you go to the LR Preset folder, it's entirely empty. No develop presets whatsoever@. However. when I'm in develop mode and go to look at my preset menu, all of the presets are still listed on the left-hand panel and can be applied to photos (despite the warning that says "preset not found" on the right-hand side). I've entirely uninstalled LR numerous times, even selecting the option to delete all user settings. I've deleted the presets from every other viable location on my computer and emptied the trash, still to no avail.

I've done the right-click method for a few, but unfortunately, the presets are all listen in bulk folders (they're VSCO Desktop) and subsequently there are literally hundreds of them, so doing that one at a time would be fairly tedious. I've tried to right-click the folder itself, but it won't give the option to delete them in bulk.

I've also reset all of the preferences numerous times, sadly to no avail. This was all on the most recent version of LR. I finally went ahead and did a mass wipe of all my Adobe CC apps, including the Adobe CC app itself (which was burrowed in like a tick, I literally had to use my CleanMyMac app to forcibly "shred" it from my system), and did a full re-install. Still showed up, so I deleted LR again and downloaded an older version of it, something like 7.0.1. It's working fine and the presets are gone, but I can't figure out why or how they're still listed in the newest version of LR after all of that. e24fc04721
