Reading Comprehension represents the GMAT test area that is most difficult to improve quickly, since reading skills are acquired over a lifetime and not improved overnight. I am thinking about taking a GMAT class and taking a GMAT test to prepare for the MBB test? Do you think it is a good idea or am I wasting my time and money? I have already had an MBA from Durham University in the UK, but the business school did not require a GMAT test.

There is some material online where you could get the prep tests (incl. Preplounge). I would advise you to prep with these, instead of GMAT - because the questions in GMAT don't provide business context (as well as charts) like the MBB tests.

There are several online resources you can take to prepare for the McK Imbellus test. You can also take 2-3 free GMAT tests online. It might help to practise times mathematical and logical reasoning questions.

There are 2 types of BCG and Bain tests:

In a nutshell, the real GMAT test is adaptive. What does this mean? Well, on the actual exam, there is not a fixed, predetermined set of questions. Instead, you get a computer adaptive test, in which the GMAT questions that pop up on your test screen will have a different difficulty level, based on how you did on the previous questions.

So if you do well on several consecutive questions, the real GMAT will then start making your question level more difficult. But if you do poorly on several questions in a row on test day, the exam will adapt and give you easier questions.

Both the Quant and Verbal sections have their own individual subscores. These subscores have a scaled score range of 0 to 60. So if you get, say, 70% of your Quant questions right on this test, your very rough estimated subscore for Quant would be 70% of the 60 point range (0.7*60 = 42).

The GMAT IR and GMAT AWA sections are not included in this test, because these parts of the GMAT, which are scored separately from the rest of the exam, are typically not as important on your business school application.

When running a small set of script tests, the performance of the test system can be quite slow because by default, the test system searches ALL .tc files in the test system for cases that match your RunDef configuration. If you need to run a few tests, you can configure the RunDef file carefully for a dramatic performance improvement.
