1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal Information You Disclose to Us

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Credentials: We collect passwords, password hints, and similar security information used for authentication and account access via Google Firebase Auth.

Profile Data: Name, email address, and profile picture (if logging in via Google).

Information Collected Automatically or via App Permissions

To provide the core functionalities of the Glowence AI app, we require certain permissions and collect specific data:

Camera and Photo Library Access: We request access to your device's camera and photo library to scan your face for symmetry and skin analysis. We only access images you specifically choose to upload or capture within the app.

Face Data: When you use our scanning feature, we process facial images to provide AI-driven analysis (such as skin quality, symmetry, and feature tracking).

Chat Data: Text input you provide to the "Glowence Coach" is collected to generate AI responses.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below:

To Facilitate Account Creation and Logon Process: We use the information you provide to manage your account and keep it secure.

To Provide AI Face Analysis: Your photos and face data are processed to provide the core functionality of the app—analyzing facial symmetry, skin health, and generating a "Glow Score."

To Power the AI Coach: Your chat messages and mood check-ins are processed to provide personalized self-improvement and skincare advice.

To Track Progress: We store your past scan results so you can compare your progress over time within the app.

3. Will Your Information Be Shared with Anyone?

We only share information with the following third-party services that help us operate the App:

Google Firebase: We use Firebase for user authentication (logging in), secure database storage (Firestore), and storing your scan images (Firebase Storage).

Google Gemini AI: We use Google's Gemini AI API to process your chat messages and facial analysis data. Your data is sent securely to Google's servers solely for generating the AI analysis and coaching responses.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or facial images to any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Account Data: Kept as long as your account is active.

Images and Scans: Stored securely in your profile so you can track your progress. You can request to delete these at any time.

5. How Can You Delete Your Data?

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.

If you wish to delete your account, your photos, and all associated data, you can do so by:

Using the "Delete Account" or data deletion option within the App's settings/profile menu.

Contacting the developer directly via email to request manual deletion of your Firebase account and stored data.

Once a deletion request is made, your data will be permanently removed from our active databases.

6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process (such as industry-standard encryption provided by Google Firebase). However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Effective Date" and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
