These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Glovira mobile application (package name: com.livevoice.glovira), including any services, features, and content offered through the application (collectively, the "App" or "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the App.
Glovira is a real-time, offline-capable voice interpreter and translation application for Android. It operates using a "dual AI brain" architecture, offering:
Offline Brain: Local speech-to-text (STT), translation (using on-device models like Gemma, LiteRT, or Google ML Kit), and text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis.
Online Brain: Cloud-based translation via third-party AI APIs (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI, Claude) and premium text-to-speech systems.
Public Translation Rooms: Real-time social translation rooms where hosts can broadcast and listeners can receive translations.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old in the European Economic Area) to use Glovira. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
To access certain features (such as history synchronization across devices or hosting translation rooms), you may be required to register an account using Firebase Authentication (e.g., email/password or Google Sign-In).
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we suspect unauthorized access, security breaches, or a violation of these Terms.
Glovira is offered on a freemium basis, with certain features gated behind subscription tiers or in-app purchases.
All subscriptions, in-app purchases, and financial transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Store billing system. Glovira does not collect, store, or access your credit card numbers or payment details.
Subscriptions grant access to expanded features as described in the App (such as higher cloud quotas, unlimited translation history, hosting larger public rooms, and removal of advertisements).
Subscriptions auto-renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (e.g., monthly or annually) unless canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation will apply to the next billing cycle, and you will retain access to the paid features until your current subscription period ends.
All refunds are handled and governed strictly in accordance with Google Play Store Refund Policies. Except as required by local consumer law, all purchases are non-refundable.
Glovira relies on advanced artificial intelligence models (on-device LLMs, cloud APIs, STT recognizers, and synthesis engines) to interpret and translate spoken words.
A. Imperfect Technology & Offensive Content Disclaimer
You explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
AI translations and syntheses are generated algorithmically and are imperfect.
THE APP'S TRANSLATIONS AND TEXT OR VOICE OUTPUTS MAY OCCASIONALLY CONTAIN ERRORS, INACCURACIES, MISLEADINGS, BIASES, HARMFUL CODE, OR POTENTIALLY OFFENSIVE, RUDE, OR INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT.
The developer does not manually screen or review individual machine-generated translations and has no control over the content produced by local or cloud AI models.
You assume all risks associated with any errors, offensive outputs, or inaccuracies generated by the App. The developer is not responsible or liable for any consequences arising from such outputs.
Glovira is NOT designed, intended, or certified for use in high-risk or critical environments.
You agree NOT to use Glovira for:
Medical translation, clinical evaluations, or emergency situations.
Legal translation, court proceedings, or contract negotiations.
Aviation, maritime navigation, or heavy machinery operation.
Any context where a single translation or transcription error could result in death, personal injury, physical harm, or severe financial or legal damage.
If you choose to use the Online Brain by providing your own API credentials (such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude API keys):
Your API keys are stored encrypted locally on your device.
You are solely responsible for all usage, billing, and charges incurred on your third-party API accounts.
You agree that we have no liability or control over the availability, pricing, or downtime of these third-party cloud services.
The App's online functionality requires active internet connectivity. We are not responsible for cellular data charges, network failures, or offline-fallback discrepancies resulting from lack of internet access.
Glovira allows hosts to set up Public Translation Rooms where voice inputs are translated and distributed to participants in real time.
When participating in or hosting translation rooms, or when using the Service, you agree NOT to transmit, post, or share any content that:
Is illegal, defamatory, libelous, harassing, hateful, threatening, or harmful.
Contains sexually explicit material, violence, or incites discrimination or violence against individuals or groups.
Infringes on the intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary rights of any third party.
Transmits spam, unauthorized advertisements, or malicious software.
To comply with Google Play Store UGC policies, Glovira maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable behavior.
Reporting: Users can report offensive rooms, hosts, or participants directly through the App.
Blocking: Users can block abusive participants from interacting with them.
Developer Action: We reserve the right to review reported content, terminate public rooms, and suspend or permanently delete accounts of users who violate these UGC rules, at our sole discretion.
The App, including its source code, native library binaries (libglovira.so), visual designs, logos, software architectures, databases, and assets, are the exclusive property of the developer or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, and limited license to download, install, and use the App on your Android device for personal, non-commercial use, strictly in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer any part of the App, including its native libraries and on-device translation interfaces, except to the extent permitted by law or with our prior written consent.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS.
THE TRANSLATIONS OR AUDIO SYNTHESES WILL BE ACCURATE, CORRECT, RELIABLE, OR FREE OF ERRORS OR OFFENSIVE MATERIAL.
THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME OR LOCATION.
ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS APP.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE DEVELOPER BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, OR INJURY RESULTING FROM HACKING, TAMPERING, OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR ACCOUNT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER ASSUMES NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY:
ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES OF CONTENT (INCLUDING TRANSLATIONS AND SPEECH SYNTHESES).
INAPPROPRIATE, DEFAMATORY, OR OFFENSIVE OUTPUTS PRODUCED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE MODELS OR OTHER USERS.
PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OF ANY NATURE RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APP.
ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THE SERVICE.
ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, TROJAN HORSES, OR THE LIKE THAT MAY BE TRANSMITTED TO OR THROUGH THE APP BY ANY THIRD PARTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO THE DEVELOPER FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR TEN DOLLARS ($10.00 USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developer, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your use of the App, your User-Generated Content, or any translations relied upon by you that result in third-party claims.
You agree to use Glovira strictly for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and treaties. You are prohibited from using the App to violate any laws, evade law enforcement, commit fraud, or engage in any other illegal activity.
We reserve the right to cooperate with government agencies, law enforcement authorities, or courts of competent jurisdiction in connection with any investigation, lawsuit, or legal process.
You acknowledge and agree that we may disclose account details, device identifiers, billing info, or synchronized database records (where available and possessed by us) if we are served with a valid court order, warrant, subpoena, or other legally binding request.
Privacy-by-Design Disclaimer: Because Glovira is built on a privacy-by-design architecture, we do not monitor, record, or store your voice audio or your local translation history on our servers. Consequently, if we receive a legal request for such data, we will not be able to provide it because we do not possess it. We can only provide data that is synchronized to our cloud servers at your explicit request (such as account profile data or opt-in synced translation history).
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction / Country], without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the App shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of [Your City/Jurisdiction].
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or on our developer website. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the App following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
