The artist bears the responsibility of preserving them in digital form for 20 years from the creation of each tattoo. After 20 years, the artist may delete the documents without informing the signatories./You can print and sign it by hand or if you prefer it to be more official you can use an online digital signature platform of your country.
Attention to those suffering from diseases such as: cardiovascular, dermatological, hematological (e.g. anemia, hypotension), allergies, thyroid.
The wound healing time is approximately two weeks (~12-15 days) when the peeling is complete, whereas complete healing occurs ~30 days after your appointment.
A new tattoo should be treated like a first degree burn:
you keep it clean all the time with frequent washes during the day and cream.
you keep it moisturized all the time with frequent washing and use of cream.
make sure you don't cover it with anything so as the wound is able to “breathe”.
(throughout the 30 days of healing, but MOSTLY for the first 15 days)
sun (up to 15 days, that is, until the peeling is over, do not use sun cream! Do not wrap it with anything, because the wound must breathe). No prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during the summer months.
medicinal preparations such as alcohol, betadine, oxygen, etc.
do not rub/scratch the skin with fingernails or sponge, towel, paper towel, razor, etc. for the first 15 days and don't peel it yourself.
clingy clothes and synthetics are prohibited at this point, e.g. leggings. Fluffy clothing is also prohibited, e.g. fleece and woolen.
no extreme temperatures! Keep the area at ~27 degrees, i.e. room temperature, as well as the water for washing the tattoo. Avoid -even close contact with- sources of heat, such as radiators, ovens, resistances, exhausts etc.
be careful with pet hair e.g. dogs, cats, rodents, etc.
make sure everything that comes into contact with the area is clean (hands, sheets, etc.).
no soaking the area in water.
avoid: pool (chlorine), sea (bacteria), sand, soil, grass, lakes, swamp, river, etc.
Wash hands and tattoo with room temperature running water and with neutral pH soap (for sensitive areas, for tattoos or for babies).
Dry well the area by dabbing with the inside of a kitchen towel (on the side that is wrapped and not on the outside that is in contact with dust and the external environment of the room) to avoid contact with any bacteria and dust.
Apply a THIN layer of cream to the area. The cream moisturizes the area and protects it from dust, sweat, bacteria, etc. Frequency of use is preferable to quantity! The main goal is to always cover the tattoo with cream during the first month.
For the 1st week the cream is absorbed at a faster rate.
For the first 15 days you must apply cream at least 4-5 times a day. Procedure: wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and the neutral pH soap (always creating foam in the hand first) by lightly massaging. Pat dry with kitchen paper (the inner side) and apply a very thin layer of cream. It is recommended to apply cream more than 5 times per day, there is no upper limit of wash and cream per day.
for days 16-30 you continue to apply cream 1-2 times a day following the same procedure.
any pain, redness, swelling, discomfort after the 3-4th day subsides. If you notice any of the above mentioned symptoms after the 4th day contact your tattoo artist or any tattoo artist nearby IMMEDIATELY, because the wound has become infected and needs to be treated immediately!
After consultation with the artist there are two options: a) you leave the store wrapped in plastic wrap or b) you leave the store with a special sticker called second skin. Below you will find the instructions for the first washing of the tattoo for each case.
Plastic wrap/cellophane: Keep the plastic wrap for 2-6 hours depending on what the artist has recommended. As soon as you remove the film, wash very well with the neutral pH soap (always creating foam in the hand first) and lukewarm water by lightly massaging. Just rub it with your palm to thoroughly clean the dried blood and inks. Allow the tattoo to air and dry naturally for about 5 minutes and then apply the recommended cream.
Second skin: Keep the sticker on you as long as it is well stuck. Usually in 2-4 days it starts to peel off, during which time a blister will form with a black liquid containing blood and ink. When you see that the sticker starts to peel off, remove it. To remove it, place the entire area under running lukewarm water and gently and carefully remove the sticker. Wash very well with the neutral pH soap (always creating foam in the hand first) by lightly massaging. Just rub it with your palm to clean the area thoroughly. Allow the tattoo to air and dry naturally for about 5 minutes. Apply the recommended cream.
