Gra miejska Globalne Piekary, to wydarzenie organizowane w ramach promocji Tygodnia Edukacji Globalnej w naszym mieście. Tydzień Edukacji Globalnej TEG to coroczna międzynarodowa akcja edukacyjna organizowana w celu zwrócenia uwagi Europejczyków na problemy o charakterze globalnym, współzależności globalne, przyczyny problemów współczesnego świata i wyzwania z tym związane. Edukacja globalna ma przybliżać społeczeństwu zagadnienia dotyczące sytuacji najuboższych krajów, jak również pokazywać wzajemne zależności między Polakami, a mieszkańcami krajów rozwijających się. Ma także skłonić do refleksji, nauczyć krytycznego myślenia oraz znajdywania rozwiązań. Odbywa się co roku w trzecim tygodniu listopada pod patronatem Europejskiego Centrum na Rzecz Współzależności i Solidarności Światowej (Centrum Północ-Południe) Rady Europy. Przygotowywane i przeprowadzane są wtedy różnego rodzaju akcje edukacyjne organizowane przez szkoły, studenckie koła naukowe, biblioteki, organizacje pozarządowe i inne instytucje
City game „Global Piekary” is an event organized as part of the Global Education Week in our city. The Global Education Week TEG is an annual international educational campaign organized to draw the attention of Europeans to global issues, global interdependencies, causes of problems in the modern world and the challenges associated with it. Global education is supposed to bring the society closer to the issues concerning the situation of the poorest countries, as well as to show relations between Poles and the inhabitants of developing countries. It is also meant to encourage reflection, learn critical thinking and find solutions. It takes place every year in the third week of November under the patronage of the European Center for Interdependence and World Solidarity (North-South Center) of the Council of Europe. Various types of educational campaigns organized by schools, student research clubs, libraries, non-governmental organizations and other institutions are prepared and carried out.
