The program includes online coursework, a global education symposium, and an international field experience where teachers engage with schools and educators abroad. About Me:
I am a 6th–8th grade Special Education teacher in North Carolina with nine years of experience supporting diverse learners. I am passionate about creating student-centered, real-world learning experiences and advocating for inclusive education in both my classroom and my community.
I serve as a Special Olympics liaison, my team's lead, and a member of my school’s School Improvement Team. I have also volunteered with Girl Scouts for over 13 years and currently serve on the Gold Award Committee, mentoring girls through their leadership and service projects.
As a participant in the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms program, I look forward to expanding my global perspective and bringing new ideas back to my students. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Adapted Curriculum from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and am a proud National Board Certified Teacher.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, and exploring different foods and cultures.
