Effective Date: 27 November 2025
Thank you for using Code Challenge Daily. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application (“the App”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information. The App is designed to operate without collecting personal data. Please read this Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the terms described below.
No personal data collection. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data about you.
Local-only storage. Any data produced by the App (for example, your challenge progress, local solutions, settings) is stored only on your device.
No third-party tracking. The App does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers.
No login required. There is no account creation, sign-in, or mandatory identifier collection.
We do not collect any of the following:
Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details.
Payment or billing data.
Device identifiers sent to remote servers (such as Advertising ID) for tracking purposes.
Location data (precise or coarse).
Camera or microphone recordings.
Contacts, calendar events, or files from your device.
Any content or messages stored on your device unless you explicitly save a file locally through in-app export features.
While we do not collect or transmit data off your device, the App may store the following locally on your device to provide functionality:
Challenge progress: Which daily challenges you completed and timestamps.
Saved code attempts: Any code you type into the in-app editor when you choose to save it.
User settings: Theme preference (light/dark), font size, notification preferences (if enabled), language selection.
Cached assets: Images and resources used for a smooth user experience.
All of the above data remains on your device unless you choose to export or manually share it.
The App is designed to be fully functional offline for core features (daily challenges, local editor, practice mode).
If you explicitly use a feature that requires internet (for example: downloading optional extra challenge packs, checking for an app update, or opening a “Contact developer” email intent), the App may access the network at your instruction. In such cases, only the requested data is transmitted (for example, downloaded challenge content or the email you send via your email client).
The App does not automatically upload or sync your local data to any server.
To preserve privacy and minimize access to user data, the App requests no sensitive permissions by default. Optional permissions, if ever introduced in a future release, will be requested with clear justification and only where necessary.
Examples of permissions the App does not request: Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Location, SMS, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (unless you explicitly export/import files), or any others that access personal data.
The App currently uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and disclose:
The third-party service name(s);
The specific data shared (if any);
A link to the third-party privacy policy;
A way for users to opt out where feasible.
The App is educational and suitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because the App does not collect personal data, no parental consent mechanisms are required. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that hasn’t been described here, please contact us and we will remove such information from our systems (if any).
We take reasonable steps to protect the data stored locally on your device:
Local files containing your progress or saved code are stored in the App’s private storage area on the device.
We recommend that users enable device-level protections (screen lock, encryption) provided by their OS to protect local data.
Because the App does not transmit data to remote servers, the risk of third-party interception is substantially reduced.
Note: No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because the App stores data only on your device, we retain user data for as long as the App is installed and the local data files remain. If you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data via Android settings, local data will be deleted from your device.
If the App ever introduces an “export” or “backup” feature that transmits data to a cloud service, we will clearly disclose how long that data is retained and offer users options to delete it.
You can delete local app data at any time by uninstalling the App or by using the system settings to clear the App data.
If the App provides an in-app export feature (e.g., export saved code to a file), any exported file is placed where you instruct your device (for example, your Downloads folder). The App is not responsible for files you share or store externally.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Policy. We recommend you review this Policy periodically.
