In the month of November, within the context of the 2025 “Hope Without Borders” Year of the Mission, the Family Rosary Peru Teaching Team in Lima shared the “Turn the Other Cheek” sessions with over 1,000 students from Mario Florián, Miguel Grau Seminario, and Luis Alberto García Rojas High Schools.
The goal of these sessions was to promote reconciliation among students for their personal, family, and community well-being, while responding to the increasing violence in the San Juan de Lurigancho district where these schools are located. Through this initiative, the team sought to spread hope in the power of forgiveness.
The sessions included lectures, interactive activities, and moments of prayer, allowing students to reflect and commit themselves to practicing forgiveness and reconciliation as pathways to peace. Through this experience, students were encouraged to foster peace within their families, schools, and the wider community.

In the face of the many challenges present in society—especially violence, insecurity, and injustice—the Institute for the Pastoral Care of the Family (INFAM) supports families through programs, projects, workshops, and services that strengthen family bonds through prayer and meaningful activities. These initiatives help families find hope in the midst of difficult realities.
Each age group is cared for according to its specific needs, from babies to the elderly, with a focus on integral well-being, especially spiritual well-being.
While many challenges remain, such as reaching more families in the most remote areas of our community, we continue to seek new strategies to meet these needs and expand our outreach.
