Gordon Liao is an economist in the International Finance Division of the Federal Reserve Board. He conducts policy and research that focuses on institutional frictions in financial markets and has published in journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and Journal of Financial Economics. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, he was a portfolio manager and partner at Cambridge Square Capital. Gordon holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and was previously a fixed income trader at the Harvard endowment. He received his Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College.
