GlamTips ("GlamTips", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") is developed and operated by GlamLab. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights you have. By downloading or using GlamTips, you agree to the practices described here.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app.
We do not run analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers.
The photos, images, and text prompts you choose are sent to our AI provider (Replicate) solely to generate your result, and are not retained by us on any server we control.
Everything the app saves (your gallery, results, and settings) is stored only on your device.
You can erase all app data at any time from Settings → Clear all data.
We designed GlamTips to work without collecting personal information. The app does not maintain user accounts and does not ask you to register.
Content you provide. When you use the try-on and design features, you provide:
Hand photos you take or select from your photo library.
Nail-design images or any other pictures you upload as inspiration.
Text prompts describing the nail look you want.
This content is used only to generate the result you requested. It is processed as described in Section 3.
Content generated for you. The images the app creates (try-on results and AI designs) are saved locally in your in-app gallery on your device.
App settings. Your appearance preference and the "Save outputs to Photos" toggle are stored locally on your device.
Information we do NOT collect. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, device advertising identifier, browsing history, or biometric identifiers. We do not build user profiles, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
The app requests the following permissions only when needed, and only to provide the feature you are using:
Camera — to take a photo of your hand for a try-on. Used only while you are capturing a photo.
Photo Library (read) — to let you choose an existing hand photo or a design/inspiration image.
Photo Library (add) — to save a result to your photo library when you enable "Save outputs to Photos".
You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings → Privacy & Security menu. Denying a permission only disables the related feature; the rest of the app continues to work.
GlamTips has no servers of its own. To create try-on composites and AI nail designs, the app sends the content you supply (hand photos, design or inspiration images, and text prompts) directly from your device to our AI provider, Replicate, Inc. ("Replicate"), over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Replicate runs the AI models, returns the generated image to your device, and the result is then stored locally in your gallery.
We do not store your photos, prompts, or generated outputs on any server we operate.
We do not sell or share your content for advertising.
Replicate acts as our processing provider for these requests. Their handling of data is governed by Replicate's own privacy policy, available at https://replicate.com/privacy. We encourage you to review it.
Requests are authenticated with an app-managed API key; you are not asked to create or enter any credentials.
Because generation happens on Replicate's infrastructure, your content is transmitted to Replicate to fulfill your request. Do not upload images or text you are not comfortable sending to a cloud AI service.
On your device: your gallery, generated results, and settings remain on your device until you delete them. Removing the app deletes this local data.
In transit / with our provider: content sent for generation is retained by us for no longer than necessary to return your result — in practice, we do not persist it. Any retention by Replicate is governed by their policy.
One-tap erasure: Settings → Clear all data immediately deletes your gallery, saved outputs, and on-device caches. This action cannot be undone.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) transmission of all requests to our AI provider and on-device storage that relies on iOS app sandboxing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR are:
Performance of a service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)) — processing the content you submit so the app can return the try-on or design you asked for.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — operating, securing, and improving the app, balanced against your rights.
We do not rely on consent for marketing because we do not perform marketing tracking.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Because GlamTips does not maintain accounts or store your content on our servers, most of these rights are satisfied directly by you: your data lives on your device, and Settings → Clear all data (or uninstalling the app) erases it immediately. California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
GlamTips is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Our AI provider may process requests on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using the AI features, you understand that the content you submit may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses) maintained by the relevant provider.
The app may link to third-party pages (such as our AI provider's privacy policy). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; their policies govern your use of their services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
