I am a Ricercatore tipo B (tenure-track Assistant Professor) at the Department of Physics and Chemistry - Emilio Segrè of the University of Palermo. My research activities are mainly in the fields of Bioanalytical Chemistry, Lab-on-Chip and Piezotronics. I obtained a Ph.D. in Nanoscience in 2012 from the Scuola Superiore di Catania, under the supervision of Prof. B. Pignataro. Afterwards, I spent a Post-doctoral fellowship at the Max-Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology at the Technical University of Dortmund and at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
