Hi, I am a Research Economist in the Financial Stability and Macroprudential Policy Department at Banco de España. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

My research lies at the intersection of industrial organization and finance. I study how market structure and regulation shape competition in the banking industry. In my recent work, I analyze how banks set deposit interest rates based on deposit insurance status and how this segmentation affects the transmission of monetary policy.

In summer 2026, I was a Visiting Researcher at DeCenter, Princeton University, working on payment systems and decentralized technologies.
