Carrie was diagnosed with adrenocortical cancer in the fall of 2023 during her sophomore year at Georgetown High School. Carrie was well known among her family and friends as an avid baker, and it was her goal in life to own her own bakery. In the months before she learned of her cancer diagnosis, she obtained her Texas Food Handler's license and started her own home baking business. Even once her illness prevented her from attending school, she continued to bake, making more than a thousand delicious treats which she shared, free of charge, with friends, family, and community members. Carried passed away on July 28th, 2024. She will forever be remembered as a young woman of incredible kindness, intelligence, and generosity.
