Welcome to Girls are S.M.A.R.T
Girls are S.M.A.R.T is part of my Girl Scouts Gold Award Project. I conducted a 5 week long interactive virtual program for girls in elementary school. We created unique and simple art projects using STEM! Such as making salt water color paintings and creating chromatography butterflies. Through these projects girls will learn about chemistry, astronomy, math and more! The Girls' projects will be showcased in an art show video!
MY AIM:
As a girl who loves STEM I have noticed that there is a lack of girls in advanced STEM classes. I believe that the primary reason for this is the shortfall of encouragement for girls interested in STEM at a young age. I hope to change this, create a spark of interest, become a mentor and friend, and provide an opportunity for young girls interested in STEM!
