I would like to show that:

• there are no good reasons to think that there are abstract entities;

• there are no two entities with the same parts;

• words, sentences and other linguistic items are down-to-earth, concrete entities;

• existence is not a property, and is a logical notion expressed by the so-called existential quantifier;

These metaphysical theses seemingly concern disparate topics, yet are mutually connected. None of them is really new, but they happen to be rather unpopular nowadays. This is why it is worthwhile (and fun) to spend time and energy in analyzing and defending them.

In order to reach these goals and make other people interested in them, I work as an Associate Professor in Philosophy of Language at the University of L'Aquila. L'Aquila is a small and beautiful town in the middle of the mountains: quite an ideal place to concentrate and be a philosopher.

In the past, I was also very keen on Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. As a result, I have written some essays on it.
