My second question is - I noticed that Google hosted a clock design competition ( ). Have some of these designs made it into the OS? If not, is it possible to load custom clock faces onto the Google Home Nest Hub?

I did a bit more digging online and it appears that the answer to "is there a clock face that shows time and date?" is no there isn't. Below are some links I found. Hoping somebody can prove me wrong given I heard Google Nest Hub recently got a software update?

Ok so I tried using another samsung device than the one i was using before and it allowed me to access the apps and clock faces so it must've just been that. However, I also tried with several windows 10 computers and those didn't work either so that might need to be checked.

Please note that some devices must be connected to Wi-Fi for some apps to install or update. For instructions on connecting to Wi-Fi, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi? Make sure your phone is nearby with the Fitbit app running in the background and Bluetooth turned on. To confirm the steps to change the clock face, see How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

I just bought a Versa Lite to work with my Asus Max (Android 6). No problem with BT pairing. Struggled a little to get call & text msg notification (apart from tweaking notification settings in the Fitbit app and in Android, you also need to allow auto-launch on Android bootup and disable power saving for the Fitbit app). Initially the Fitbit app cannot connect to the internet (keep saying "no internet connection") - problem solved by disabling ad blocker. Now I can start the clock face and app pages, but just like OP, whenever I click on individual clock face or app, I get the swirling icon rotating forever. I really like to change the clock face and install some apps such as calculator and monthly calendar.

Same problem here, ZTE phone. I managed to remove the default clockface, then the watch complained about no clockface for a while and it suddenly chose another clock face which I cannot remove nor add any other clockface. It still just shows the download circle forever. Syncing and other things work but no apps or clockfaces. I am on my second Iconic, first one was DOA and was replaced by the local store. The support page in the app is basically just a circular pointer reference going back to square one, it all seems pretty dodgy.

Did a factory reset, deleted and reinstalled the app, loaded the firmware update (which worked on the third attempt, what is this all about?).

Now it loaded two random clockfaces by itself, but still refuses to load anything else. Seems like buying a Samsung or whatever is a better option, this is seriously annoying and time consuming.

It seems to forget the wifi password everytime, when I open the clock settings menu it immediately turns off wifi even though I set it manually.

Any clues? Anyone? Does the staff even read these forums?

Just received a software update on the Versa Lite, and there is no new version of the fitbit app. I am still unable to install new watch faces or install new apps using the fitbit app - the problem remains the same as before as I described.

UPDATE: My Asus 3 Zoom's battery died (battery swelling) - this was the phone that I got Fitbit app to connect to the website through internet but could not download any clockface or app. I bought a Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and installed the Fitbit app. Again, the app connects with my Versa Lite through bluetooth without problem, but it got the "oops there is a problem with internet connection" message (this time I don't have any ad blockers installed on the phone).

I have this phone rooted via Magisk, and I found that all the apps that require login (Google Play, banking, CC etc.) do not work (cannot log in). Therefore I revert the phone to the original firmware (without root) and try again. Not only all the apps that require login are now working, the Fitbit app also connects to the internet and can now download / install clockfaces and apps.

I was experiencing the same problems on my versa 2 I found this solution in a post. If like me your clock face loads ok on your watch but is taking ages to "switch" on the Fitbit app and/or you get a message saying"failed to install please try later"... Swipe to the saved clock faces on your versa select the one you want go back to the app hey presto! It should be ok

Newtripley I appreciate the suggestion and that may work for some people, however, the primary reason we haven't (or in my case I have) been able to resolve the issue is due to the phone software, not the Fitbit app. I was running Android 6.0 with the most up to date version of the Fitbit app and clock faces nor apps would load at all. I could only access the default clock face and colors. Please see the images above for reference. When I reached out to Fitbit support they advised me that the reason my app wasn't working correctly was due to my phone's software version no longer being supported. It was considered outdated. However, I was already about to purchase a new phone due to a hardware malfunction on my Galaxy S6 (primary speaker became water damaged). Literally 2-3 days after I purchased and activated my new phone, currently running Android 10, I was able to utilize the app to it's full functionality. I realize not everyone is able to buy a new phone, but others may be capable of updating their phone's software version which would resolve the issue they're experiencing.

If you don't mind me asking, what steps have you followed so far for troubleshooting? Additionally, what version of Android is your S10 running and have you updated both your phone software and the fitbit app to the highest versions possible? When I was experiencing this issue, I was running an android version not compatible with the fitbit updates. I was using the galaxy S6 but upgraded to the S9 and am currently running Android version 10. My Fitbit firmware version is 38.71.6.19. Now when I initially updated everything it took roughly 2-5 days before fitbit informed me that I had a firmware update available. Once I was able to install the new firmware I was able to access clockfaces and apps.

Okay, after a lot of patience hubby has worked out that YOU CAN NOT DELETE THE CLOCK YOU ARE USING.. if you want to delete a clock y0u need to change it first before you then go into app to delete it. If you don't you will encounter problems.. and you will get the error cant load thing on repeat. Hope that helps someone.

That's not relevant to this issue. No one is having issues deleting a clock face on this thread; the issue is that clock faces and apps weren't showing up in the Fitbit app. Kindly remove your comment as it is irrelevant and please keep on topic for this issue or create a new thread. Thank you.

Android 11, latest security patch on Google Pixel 3XL. Had the issue with my Versa 2, now with Sense. I believe it is the Fitbit app as I was able, albeit a year ago, to load watch faces and apps on my Versa 2. However it will not load anything through the Windows 10 app either, although at least I get to see faces and apps, simply will not bring one up when I click on it. On the phone, it just tells me I don't have an internet connection when I have both wifi and broadband.

I had to use my work cell phone to get clock faces and apps squared away. Removed the app from it after I got what I wanted. Still not working right on my Android phone, but I have a work around now. Interestingly enough, the issue was on the work phone for a bit where clock faces and apps would not show, no connection it said. But several reinstalls got it there.

This problem seems to be a known issue, but am curious if there was a fix to this issue yet. I have the Versa 2 and am suddenly having an issue with installing apps and clock faces. For some reason the Starbucks and Fitbit Coach apps are in the perpetual cycle of not being able to update or install and there are a couple clock faces that are unable to install and keeps giving me the "Unable to install; Install failed, please try again later" prompts. I have already Factory Restart'd the device without avail and doesn't seem to go away. I have linked the device to the wifi and bluetooth, but that doesn't seem to work. I have also uninstalled the app from my android phone and reinstalled the app, but that didn't work either. Is there a way to either remove these apps and clock faces from my download list or fix the error so that they can finish the install?

Unfortunately, these steps did not work. Although I am not getting the "Unable to install; Install failed, please try again later" prompt, they are still not downloading and are forever in the "thinking" cycle with the red dot sliding back and forth without result. This has been the case with the Fitbit Coach and Starbucks apps as well as the Back to the Future clockface by John Sanders. Is there a way to remove them from the list and reload them perhaps?

I've had my inspire hr for about 2 months and was able to change clock faces before. Fitbit app updated in between that time and as of at least 2 weeks ago I can't change the clock face anymore. Keep getting "oops looks like you're not connected to the internet" error message. I've tried all the trouble shooting steps. Recently updated the app (8/1/20). Also tried updating the firmware since then. I have a pixel XL on Android 10. Inspire HR firmware 3.26.1 (20243519)

Thanks to research on this forum from others that had similar problems on different devices, I was able to figure out the problem myself. I was using a private DNS on my phone. While it never blocked going to the clockface page before, recent updates to the app made the DNS block it as if it were adware. So I disabled the private DNS and voila! I could connect to the clockface page! I hope this bug gets fixed. I shouldn't have to disable a private DNS that blocks adware everytime I want to change my clockface. 2351a5e196
