Basic Idea.

Political parties may choose to hold primaries for positions. Parties decide the rules of their primary. The winner of a primary will be the candidate a party runs in the next election (provided that canidate agrees). 

Do party canidates have to obey?

 Candidate will only have to follow the party line if they sign a contract, otherwise they may defect or cause trouble.
