Gig Flash Privacy Policy
GigFlash Privacy Policy
GigFlash ("we", "us", or "our") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our gig posting and job search application ("the App") and related services. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.
1. Scope of Application
This Policy applies to all core services provided through the App, including user registration, gig posting, job searching, employer-jobseeker communication, and identity verification. It does not apply to third-party services (e.g., payment processors, map services) linked to the App—please refer to those third parties’ privacy policies for their data practices.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide
- **Account Registration Information**: To create an account, you will provide an email address (Gmail preferred) and verification code. You may also choose to provide additional profile details like your full name, date of birth, and profile photo.
- **Identity Verification Information**: For safety purposes, you may need to submit government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license) or facial recognition data. Employers posting gigs may need to provide business registration documents.
- **Gig-Related Information**:
- Jobseekers: Job preferences (role type, desired pay, availability, location), resume details (education, work experience, skills, contact information).
- Employers: Gig postings (job title, duties, pay rate, location, requirements), and communication with jobseekers.
- **Other Submissions**: Information shared via customer support or when participating in App-related activities.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- **Device & Login Data**: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, login time, and browser type (to ensure service stability and account security).
- **Usage Activity**: Search keywords, browsed gigs/resumes, saved or applied-for positions, communication history (excluding sensitive private content), and posting history (to improve recommendations and user experience).
- **Location Data**: If you enable location permissions, we collect approximate location (e.g., city-level) to recommend nearby gigs. You can disable this permission anytime in your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide core services: Match jobseekers with gigs, facilitate communication between parties, and support smooth gig transactions.
- Ensure safety: Detect unusual activity to prevent account theft or fraud; verify identities to maintain platform order.
- Improve the App: Analyze user preferences to optimize features and recommendation accuracy; adapt the App for different devices.
- Comply with legal obligations: Respond to legal requests, conduct compliance audits, and resolve disputes.
- Send authorized notifications: Job alerts or event updates (you can disable these in App settings).
4. Storage & Protection of Information
4.1 Storage Terms
- Your data is stored on our secure servers; some data (e.g., login status) may be temporarily stored on your device.
- Storage periods follow "minimum necessary" principles:
- Account information: Retained while your account is active; deleted/anonymousized within 15 business days of account deletion (unless required by law).
- Identity verification data: Retained for 1 year after account deletion.
- Gig-related data: Retained for 6 months after the gig ends.
- Device/usage data: Retained for 2 years from collection.
4.2 Security Measures
- We use encryption (e.g., SSL) to protect data during transmission.
- Implement strict access controls: Only authorized staff can access data for work purposes, with full audit trails.
- Conduct regular security assessments and maintain firewalls/intrusion detection systems to prevent breaches.
- In case of a data breach, we will take remedial action and notify you via the App, email, or SMS within 72 hours as required by law.
5. Sharing & Disclosure of Information
We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except in the following cases:
- With your explicit authorization (e.g., sharing your resume with a specific employer).
- With affiliated companies: Only for service consistency, and they will adhere to this Policy.
- With service providers: To enable functions like payment or location services (they are required to use data only for service provision and maintain confidentiality).
- For legal compliance: To respond to legal orders, or protect our/your legitimate rights in emergencies.
- Anonymized data: De-identified data may be used for analytics or shared with third parties (it cannot identify individuals).
6. Your Rights
- **Access & Correction**: View or edit your profile, resume, and preferences in the "Profile" section. Identity data corrections require verification via customer support.
- **Deletion Request**: To delete part or all of your information, email us at **123334@gmail.com** with your account name, contact details, and specific data to delete. We will verify and process requests within 10 business days.
- **Account Deletion**: Delete your account in "Settings > Account Security" (ensure all gig payments/orders are resolved first). Deletion is irreversible, and data will be handled per Section 4.1.
- **Withdraw Consent**: Disable permissions (location, notifications) in device settings (this may limit some features).
- **Complaints & Inquiries**: Contact us via the App’s "Help Center" or the above email—we will respond within 5 business days.

8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy due to legal changes or App upgrades. Updated versions will be posted prominently in the App (e.g., splash screen, settings) and notified to you via pop-up or email. Continuing to use the App after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
9. Governing Law & Disputes
This Policy is governed by the laws of [insert applicable jurisdiction, e.g., "the State of California, USA"]. Disputes will first be resolved through negotiation; if unresolved, either party may file a lawsuit in the court with jurisdiction over our headquarters.
