Important Information

Still looking for teams!

We ask that everyone register their teams online, if possible. The registration link will be up on the website shortly or you can click the link below to register:

We have decided to keep the Men’s and Ladies leagues the same as last year. That includes prices and discounts that applied last year. We will allow 3 man teams again this year but if you register as a 3 man team you will have to play the season with 3 players. It will run Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Friday night league will play as a doubles league this year. The cost will be $600/team plus tax. The discounts from last year will apply again.

Please see the registration form for more details.

Junior league will be running this year starting in early December and run until the end of February,.

We will require parent volunteers to ensure the children receive the best possible experience!

If there is interest in a daytime league, please let us know. We currently have no plans to run one but if we get enough interest we can look to arrange something.

Practice: Any Monday in November, there will not be a fee for this time but you will have to contact the club or a board member to book time. Proof of vaccination will be required to attend and masks are to be worn in the lobby areas.

As of right now, the only way the Gibbons Curling Club can operate is through the Restrictions Exemption Program offered by the Alberta Government. That means that proof of vaccine or a negative Covid test within the past 72 hours will be required to attend the club. The proof can be provided to any board member who will make a note on your membership information sheet that is kept by the board. That information will not be shared with the membership. Should this requirement change before curling starts on November 2, we will update you.

Masks will be required in the lobby areas and the lounge (unless seated at a table). Masks can be removed while on the curling surface.

We will ask everyone to maintain social distancing at all times. Please engage in good hygiene practices.

As usual we abide by Curling Alberta’s Rules of Curling. We will send out another copy closer to the start of the season and outline any major changes from regular play.

All requirements are changing very rapidly so we will send out an update closer to the start of the season.
