At GhostFocus, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles information, specifically regarding our local VPN service, payment processing, and advertisements.
GhostFocus operates 100% offline on your device.
We do not collect, store, track, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, DNS queries, or list of blocked applications.
All configuration data (blocked apps, custom websites, focus session times, and settings) is stored locally on your device's secure storage.
To provide the app's core feature (blocking distracting apps and websites), GhostFocus utilizes the Android VpnService API.
Local Loopback: The VPN establishes a local-only loopback tunnel on your device.
Zero External Routing: Traffic from blocked websites is dropped immediately on-device. No traffic is routed through or inspected by external servers.
Privacy Assurance: We do not monitor, log, or collect your internet activity, search queries, or package interactions.
For users on the free tier of the application:
We integrate Google AdMob to display banner advertisements.
Google AdMob may collect and use anonymous device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and telemetry data to serve relevant, non-personalized or personalized ads.
Upgrading to the premium version completely disables the Google AdMob SDK and removes all advertisements from the application.
When purchasing the Pro Shield subscription or Lifetime unlock:
Transactions are handled securely by Google Play Billing / Google Pay.
GhostFocus does not collect, receive, or store your payment card numbers, billing addresses, or bank details.
