Fall 2022 Goals
An initiative that advocates for a greater global health impact by evaluating access to essential medicines and addressing pressing international health problems.
All: Entrepreneurial spirit - promote clubs, fundraisers, etc. for GHI.
General Research/Social Media/Grants:
Build up our presence on social media to cultivate a larger group of people engaging with our project.
Networking and outreach; Training and passing down skills.
Plan a docuseries to build off of our podcast, "Talk is the Best Medicine."
Find, apply for, and secure grants. Strengthen our grant-writing skills.
Start source model.
Modeling:
Finalize Hep C model/paper.
Develop a process for checking all automated data and a handbook for adding non-automated data
Work on a new TB model this semester.
New NTD/TB treatment guidelines.
Automate all years possible for all diseases.
Finalize HIV forecasting tool.
Computer Science:
Have forecasting tool up and running.
Finishing the blog and front-end page that has the ability to generate output sheets that are used as an input for templates.
Supporting Amicus Onlus.
Fixing current site and databases.
Developing a code-checking script.
Fixing website code and documentation.
Forecasting tool: include 2017 as a new year, fixing HIV for all years, updating the front-end so it works across all databases for all years.
Adding a new page with graphs of size/impact, need by country, and mortality/EALY models.
Make necessary website fixes/changes as they come up.
Summer 2021 Goals
An initiative that advocates for a greater global health impact by evaluating access to essential medicines and addressing pressing international health problems.
All: Networking and outreach to change policies and laws to promote global health through initiatives like POVAX, Global Fund, and ODA.
General Reasearch/Social Media/Grants
Build up our presence on social media to cultivate a larger group of people engaging with our project.
Network through outreach on published articles and to related organizations to build our advisors and opportunities for collaboration.

Work on the Global Fund project.
Check data on the website and the forecasting tool

Administration: Review processes, folder inventory and organization, staffing, providing good updates, agendas, and meeting minutes.
Modeling:
Utilizing the forecasting tool and training new interns how to use it too
Finishing/Uploading models and company report/other reports (Hep C Patents/Efficacy Data, HIV Treatment Data)
Data Automation
Creating New Company/CE/source models
Finish NTD paper model
Systematic review:
Finish Hepatitis C and Trachoma Protocols and gear them towards the mission of GHI
Work towards getting data from efficacy reports for the Modeling team
Train new members
Computer Science: Updating the Forecasting tool, getting new models/podcasts published
General Research & Outreach:
Referencing and Paper prep: ensure all papers assigned get referenced and prepped for submission by time needed.
Grants: Support grant writing when relevant.
Research: provide useful, good research when requested for papers or media pieces.
Social Media: Regular newsletters and social media (make and execute a plan), increase outreach for book, increase presence on Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter.

Important note: If you do not have the level of access to a document in Drive that you need to complete an assignment, request it!
The Assignment Sheet
The assignment sheet is a tool we utilize sometimes, where all your assignments should be added weekly, either by you or your group leader. Make sure all of your assignments for the week are on the sheet the day after the weekly meeting.
Two days before the meeting, you will update the assignment sheet with your times for the week.

Each week the team fills out the updates sheet in order to track their indivdual hours and weekly accomplishments. A good example of an updates sheet can be found here.
The Priorities List
Each week the team leaders lay out a list of priorities for the week, organizing them by long term goals, urgent goals, important goals, and both urgent and important goals. A good example of a priorities sheet can be found here.
