I am a third-year Ph.D. candidate at the Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT) in Mexico, advised by Luis Núñez-Betancourt and advised by Javier Carvajal-Rojas as my co-advisor. Before coming to CIMAT, I completed my master’s degree at the University of Tehran under the supervision of SeyedAmin SeyedFakhari, with Siamak Yassemi as my co-advisor. I am originally from Tehran, Iran. Outside mathematics, I enjoy cooking, camping, traveling, and playing the kamancheh, a traditional Persian string instrument.
My research interests are in commutative algebra and its interactions with algebraic geometry and combinatorics. I am particularly interested in D-modules, F-modules, F-thresholds, tight closure, Castelnuovo–Mumford regularity, and symbolic powers. Currently, I am focusing on understanding the relationship between the differential core and the Cartier core.
