Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) organizes the 9th International Scientific Conference of young scientists and students on "Geoinformatics, georesources, geoecology". The scientific event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev and will be held from October 10 to 13, 2023, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The 8th Conference (2021) was dedicated to the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi". Young scientists and specialists from different countries, such as Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Egypt, Georgia, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, etc. participated at the previous conference.
