Gisel Flores

I am a third-year Mathematics graduate student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. From 2019–2023, I was an undergraduate student at Carleton College. 

This year, I gained labor organizing experience and realized that my passion for this work and teaching mathematics both far outweigh my interest in research mathematics. I also wish to serve the community I grew up in. I intend to graduate from UW with a Master's in Spring 2026 and teach high school mathematics in my hometown (Houston, TX) while joining teacher labor organizing efforts there.
