Germán Zárate-Sández
About me
I am an associate professor in the Department of Spanish at Western Michigan University (WMU) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I teach courses in applied linguistics and my research focuses on teacher education, social justice issues in language learning, dialectal variation, and second language pronunciation development. At WMU, I am also the language program director for introductory Spanish instruction.
In addition to my appointment at WMU, I currently serve as a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Alumni Ambassador.
I have worked as a language teacher and teacher trainer in the USA, Argentina, and Ecuador, as well as in Brazil, where I was a Fulbright U.S. Scholar in 2022. I am originally from San Juan, Argentina.
