I am Professor and Chair of the Department of Spanish at Western Michigan University (WMU) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. My research focuses on teacher education, dialectal variation, second language pronunciation development, and the use of artificial intelligence in language learning. I also teach graduate and undergraduate courses in applied linguistics and have held academic leadership roles in designing, coordinating, and directing university language programs.
For more than two decades, I have worked as a language teacher and teacher educator in the United States, Argentina, Ecuador, and Brazil, where I was a Fulbright U.S. Scholar in 2022. Originally from San Juan, Argentina, I continue to collaborate with scholars and institutions across the Americas.
