His artistic journey has been primarily guided by the impressionists’ emphasis on short, broken brush strokes, the accurate depiction of light, and the inclusion of movement. George began painting in his youth and over the years has increased his knowledge and skills through many workshops and classes. He says each painting is a learning experience.

George enjoys employing a wet on wet approach in creating his oil paintings, whereby layers of wet paint are applied without waiting for each stroke to dry. This allows for more loose and softer edges as well as spontaneous color mixing.
