Hi, I'm George Barron
I'm a puzzle enthusiast and graduate research assistant at Virginia Tech working towards a Ph.D. in physics. I am currently advised by Sophia Economou.
Before becoming a Hokie at VT, I was a Dawg at the University of Georgia where I completed B.S.'s in physics and mathematics. Between undergrad and graduate school I was an R&D intern at Wolfram Research, Inc.
Since undergrad, I have been interested in quantum information for many reasons, one of which is that it is an intersection of my favorite subjects: physics, mathematics, and computer science.
Since APS March Meeting was cancelled this year, I've recorded the presentation I would have given. It is available on YouTube.
