Guidelines for authors

Articles must be sent to GEOMINAS Board to: papers@revistageominas.com 

Papers may be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English, in any Word® version for Windows.

The images, tables, graphs, equations or formulas, maps and everything that is not text, must be attached, each one, in separate files, in .png, .jpg or .gif format; in RGB color with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

The maximum length of the papers will be 12 pages, letter size with 3 cm top, bottom, and right margins and 4 cm left margins, written in Arial size 12, single-spaced. Tables, graphs, figures, maps and images, the list of references, titles in the 3 languages, and the abstract in the 3 languages ​​are not included in the stated length.

Papers will not contain political statements.

At the beginning of the article the thematic area of the article must appear, in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Paper title should be placed in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Author details must include each contributor's full name (first and last name), professional titles, highest academic degree attained, email address, and a headshot photograph. Additionally, authors should include their ORCID iDs if available.

The paper must have an abstract without exceeding 250 words in Spanish. The abstract should briefly describe, in a single paragraph, the general objective, the most relevant methodology, the main result and the most important conclusion.

5 keywords must be includedl.

Papers must have, at least, the following sections: Introduction, Statement of the problem or hypothesis, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, References.

In addition to the name in each file that contains them, all the illustrations, maps, graphs, tables, and figures must have their respective titles and identical numbering to the one used in the text to refer to them. All these should be placed at the end, after the references.

No blurry images will be published.

Papers containing mathematical symbols should be presented clearly and perfectly identifiable; defining them where they appear for the first time in the text.

Citations and references must follow the last APA standards.

·      Upon receipt of the papers will be reviewed by specialists who constitute the Peer-Review Commission, they may be returned to be improved or completed.

·      Authors should suggest three potential peers, specialists in the paper theme under consideration, with their email addresses.
