專案目標 / Objective
利用美國國家海洋暨大氣總署地磁偏角網頁找到正北方(非磁北),並藉由該網頁將手機透過GPS定位且放置水平與朝向正北後,得到磁場在當地三個方向之分量與絕對值之計算值。然後在不移動手機下,開啟Phyphox程式實際獲得三個方向之分量與絕對值磁場之量測值。透過遍佈全國的各級學校的定時量測,我們就可以得到2022年下半年全台地磁分布狀況與隨時間變化。數據可以提供多樣的科學研究使用。並且讓學生了解磁力計(高斯計)、地磁、磁偏角、與地球磁場的變化。
Using the geomagnetic declination webpage of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the United States, we can identify true north (not magnetic north). By positioning the smartphone horizontally and facing it towards true north using GPS location provided by the webpage, we can obtain the calculated values of the magnetic field components in three directions and the absolute magnitude. Then, without moving the smartphone, we activate the Phyphox program to obtain the measured values of the magnetic field components in three directions and its absolute magnitude. With periodic measurements from schools at all levels throughout the country, we can document the distribution and temporal changes of Taiwan's geomagnetic field for the second half of 2022. The data can be used for a variety of scientific research. It also enables students to understand the magnetometer (gaussmeter), geomagnetism, magnetic declination, and the changes in the Earth's magnetic field.
