Andrew D. Gentry, Ph.D.
Department of Biology, Alabama School of Mathematics and Science
My academic history includes a B.Sc. in biology with a minor in chemistry, a M.Sc. in biology, and a Ph.D. in biology with a focus on vertebrate paleontology.
My research answers questions about the historical diversity of life in Alabama through empirical investigations involving fieldwork, comparative morphology, phylogenetics, and paleoclimate reconstructions. I have active research projects in Alabama and Mississippi, primarily on living and fossil turtles.
