Privacy Policy for GentlePet

Overview
GentlePet ("the App") is a pet health management application developed by GentlePet ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our App.
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device. The App does not transmit, upload, or share your data with any external servers, cloud services, or third parties. Your pet profiles, health records, photos, and other information remain exclusively on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Location data
- Analytics or usage statistics
- Device identifiers
- Advertising data
- Cookies or tracking technologies
Device Permissions
Camera — The App requests camera access solely to allow you to take photos of your pets. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared with external services.
Microphone — The App requests microphone access to allow you to record voice notes related to your pets' care. Audio recordings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared with external services.
Notifications — The App requests notification permission to send you reminders about pet care activities such as vaccinations, medications, vet visits, and feeding schedules. All notification scheduling is handled locally on your device.
Storage — On Android 12 and below, the App may request storage access to save and retrieve pet photos. On Android 13 and above, the App uses scoped storage and does not require broad storage permissions.
In-App Purchases
The App uses Google Play Billing to process in-app purchases (GentlePet Premium). Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for information on how Google handles payment data.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times:
- You can delete individual records (pets, health entries, photos, reminders) within the App
- You can clear all App data through your device's Settings > Apps > GentlePet > Clear Data
- Uninstalling the App will permanently remove all associated data from your device
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party service:
- Google Play Billing — for processing in-app purchases only. No user data is shared with this service beyond what is required for the purchase transaction.
The App does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics services, social media SDKs, or other third-party data collection tools.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
