Genevieve Didion PTA

Message from PTA Board

Hello Didion Families,

Now is an important time to join the Didion PTA online! The PTA serves as a family engagement association and plays a unique role as a liaison between the school and community. This year, more important than ever, the PTA will play a vital role in supporting the Didion school community. Providing resources and staying connected is a priority this year. In short, the PTA will look very different. Fundraisers will be limited and only selected fundraisers (maintaining health and safety) will be planned to provide sustained support to our teachers and families.

Please assist the PTA so we can continue to provide resources that highlight Didion as an exemplary school in our district. PTA funds allows us to offer students a full-time librarian, along with a targeted reading intervention program and technology/instruction services that are not widely offered elsewhere in our district. These programs are among the many things that make Didion unique and can only be possible through the dedication and support of our amazing families!

Additionally, the PTA will also launch a new Reflections Art Program that will provide an opportunity for all students to participate in a national art contest with the theme, "I Matter Because..." Didion PTA will ensure all interested students (K-8) are able to participate. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

Attending PTA meetings is also a great way to stay connected. The PTA welcomes collaboration and adopting new ideas that can make a difference in our children's overall education.

PTA general Zoom meetings will be held on the second Thursday every other month at 5:00 p.m. (first meeting is October 8th). Please contact Elaine Austin at dorayandaustin@yahoo.com for zoom meeting information if you would like to attend.

Sincerely,

The Didion PTA
