If you want a long-lasting, wireless listening experience with massive battery life for daily commuting and workouts, choose Generic Headphones; if you need a truly submersible, wired solution specifically designed for swimming and high-intensity water sports, choose Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof.
• Generic Headphones: The standout strength is its 48-hour total battery life powered by a 2200mAh case, making it ideal for extended use without frequent charging; however, the trade-off is that the charging case itself is not waterproof, limiting its utility in wet environments.
• Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof: This option offers an IP68 rating that allows for full submersion during swimming and surfing, providing a secure fit with multiple ear tip sizes; the significant compromise here is the reliance on a wired connection via a 3.5mm jack, which restricts movement compared to Bluetooth freedom.
• The Verdict: Choose the Generic pair if your priority is battery endurance and wireless convenience for kids on the go, but pick the Chiyyak if the primary use case involves actual water immersion like pool laps or beach surfing.
This set of wireless earbuds is built around the concept of convenience and endurance. The most compelling feature for any parent or active user is the sheer capacity of the charging case. With a built-in 2200mAh rechargeable battery, the system promises up to 48 hours of total playtime. This means a child can wear these for school, after-school activities, and weekend trips without ever needing to plug them into a wall outlet for days at a time. The automatic charging function ensures that whenever the buds are placed back in the case, they begin refilling immediately, eliminating the anxiety of dead batteries right when music is needed most.
Connectivity is another area where this product shines for modern households. Utilizing the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology, these earbuds offer fast, stable, and efficient transmission. You do not have to worry about audio lag or dropouts while the kids are running around the house or playing video games. The design supports a wide range of devices, including laptops, Android phones, and tablets. Furthermore, the ability to wake up sound assistants adds a layer of smart functionality that fits well with today's tech-savvy youth. The stereo sound quality is tuned to keep attention focused on calls and music, ensuring clear communication even in noisy environments.
Comfort is handled through an ergonomic design intended to fit securely in the ear canal. The package includes four spare eartips, allowing parents to find the perfect seal for different ear sizes. This customization is crucial for keeping the headphones in place during vigorous activity. However, there is a distinct limitation regarding moisture. While the earbuds themselves carry an IPX7 rating, meaning they can withstand sweat and rain without damage, the charging case is not protected against water. If a child drops the case in a puddle or tries to wash it, the electronics inside could fail. Therefore, this product is best suited for dry or lightly damp conditions rather than full aquatic exposure.
Who should skip this? Parents looking for a headphone solution that can be submerged in a pool or used directly underwater for swimming lessons will find this model unsuitable due to the non-waterproof charging case and the lack of a sealed, fully waterproof design for the entire unit.
The Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof headphones are engineered for one specific, high-performance environment: water. With an IP68 waterproof rating, these are not just splash-proof; they are designed to survive total submersion. This makes them the only logical choice for children who swim, surf, or engage in other water-based sports. Unlike standard earbuds that might fail under pressure from a diving board, these units are built to handle the rigors of being underwater, allowing kids to listen to music or podcasts while they lap-swim or play in the waves. The "Total Water Seal" ensures that water cannot penetrate the internal components, protecting the device during intense aquatic activities.

Sound quality in this category is often compromised by waterproofing, but Chiyyak addresses this with advanced noise isolation technology. The goal is crystal clear sound, particularly in the mid-frequencies, which is essential for hearing lyrics and voices clearly even when surrounded by the noise of splashing water or wind. The design prioritizes staying in place, featuring an ergonomic shape that secures the earbuds firmly during movement. To ensure a personalized experience, the package includes four replacement earplugs, allowing users to tailor the fit for maximum comfort and stability during running, walking, or swimming. A secure fit is critical here; if the earbuds fall out while underwater, they are lost forever, so the customizability of the tips is a vital safety feature.
The connectivity method defines the user experience for this product. These are wired headphones utilizing a 3.5mm jack, compatible with smartphones, tablets, MP3 players, and MP4 players. The cable length is approximately 80 centimeters (31.5 inches), which provides enough reach for typical usage without tangling excessively. The "Plug and Play" nature means there is no pairing process or battery anxiety; as long as the device has power, the music plays. This reliability is perfect for structured activities where a constant connection is required. However, the wire does introduce a physical tether. While excellent for swimming where tangles are less of an issue than on land, it limits the freedom of movement for a child running freely around a playground or a living room compared to a wireless alternative.
Who should skip this? Families seeking a completely wireless experience for everyday use, such as watching cartoons on a tablet while driving or using the headphones with a laptop that lacks a 3.5mm port without an adapter, will find the wired constraint too limiting. Additionally, those who prioritize multi-day battery life over water resistance will prefer a wireless option.
When choosing between these two distinct categories of audio gear, the decision comes down to the specific environment where the child will use them most. For the Generic Headphones, the primary selling point is the 48-hour battery life. In a world where children are constantly on the move, the ability to go weeks without charging the case is a massive advantage. The Bluetooth 5.0 connection also ensures that the audio remains stable whether the child is at school, at home, or outside. The inclusion of multiple eartip sizes is a thoughtful detail that acknowledges the diversity of young ear shapes, ensuring a comfortable fit that doesn't cause pain during long listening sessions. The IPX7 rating handles the inevitable sweat from a soccer game or the drizzle of a rainy day, but it draws a hard line at submersion.
Conversely, the Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof model solves a problem the Generic brand cannot: water resistance. If your child is learning to swim or loves the beach, the IP68 rating is non-negotiable. No amount of battery life matters if the headphones dissolve after one dip in the pool. The wired connection, while seemingly old-fashioned, actually offers a benefit in water: there is no risk of the Bluetooth signal cutting out or the battery dying mid-lap. The noise isolation technology ensures that the music remains crisp despite the ambient noise of the water. The 80cm cable is a practical length that prevents tripping while allowing enough slack for arm movement during swimming strokes. The variety of ear tips provided is equally important here, as a loose fit underwater leads to immediate loss.
Both products emphasize durability and fit, but they target different lifestyles. The Generic model is a "set it and forget it" wireless companion for the busy family on the go, while the Chiyyak is a specialized tool for the aquatic athlete. Understanding whether the child spends more time running, studying, or swimming is the key to selecting the right device. Neither option requires complex setup; both are ready to use out of the box. The choice is purely functional based on the intended activity level and environmental exposure.

In my opinion, I would buy the Generic Headphones for the average child because the 48-hour battery life and wireless freedom solve the most common frustrations of daily use. For kids who are not specifically training for swimming competitions, the ability to last for days without charging and connect seamlessly to their devices outweighs the need for submersion capabilities. The Ergonomic Design and IPX7 rating provide sufficient protection for rain and sweat, covering 95% of real-world scenarios. However, if your child is dedicated to swimming, the Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof becomes the only viable option due to its IP68 rating. Ultimately, for general use with mic head phones for kids, the wireless versatility of the Generic model is the superior all-around choice.
Only the Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof model is suitable for swimming, as it holds an IP68 rating for total submersion. The Generic Headphones are only IPX7 rated for sweat and rain, not for underwater use.
The Generic Headphones feature a 2200mAh charging case that provides up to 48 hours of total usage time before requiring a recharge, making them ideal for extended periods away from a power source.
Yes, both the Generic Headphones and the Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof models include four replacement ear tips to ensure a custom, secure fit for various ear sizes and comfort levels.
The Chiyyak Clear Sound Waterproof headphones require a 3.5mm jack. If your smartphone lacks this port, you will need a compatible adapter to use them, whereas the Generic Headphones connect wirelessly via Bluetooth.
