If you want a lightweight, durable sports companion for land-based activities like running and cycling with a focus on open-ear awareness, choose Gelecek 6.0; if you need a versatile underwater-capable device that handles swimming and offers built-in music storage without a phone, choose VLOP Bone Conduction Headphones.
• Gelecek 6.0: Strengths include an ultra-light 29g titanium frame, IP55 water resistance, and a 10-hour battery life designed for long runs. Its biggest trade-off is the lack of internal storage and lower waterproofing, meaning it cannot be used for swimming.
• VLOP Bone Conduction Headphones: Strengths feature an IPX8 waterproof rating for full submersion, 32GB internal MP3 storage for phone-free listening, and a hybrid driver system for enhanced bass. The trade-off is a shorter 8-hour battery life and a slightly heavier build compared to the Gelecek.
• Who is this for? Pick the Gelecek for daily runners who prioritize weight and battery endurance on dry land. Pick the VLOP for triathletes or swimmers who need a single device that transitions from pool to park.
The Gelecek HS1-ZZ is engineered specifically for the runner who wants to feel the wind and hear their surroundings while keeping the music close. At just 29 grams, this headset is practically invisible on your head. The enclosure material is titanium, which provides a flexible yet durable structure that can withstand stretching and bending without deforming. This makes it an ideal choice for people who wear glasses or helmets, as the design adapts comfortably to various head shapes without causing pressure points during extended sessions.
For those using a usb c charging wireless headset for teachers or instructors who need to stay aware of students while monitoring audio cues, the Gelecek offers a practical solution. The advanced bone conduction technology delivers sound through the cheekbones, allowing you to enjoy music while remaining fully alert to traffic, nature, or classroom noise. The brand has focused heavily on reducing sound leakage by up to 50% with a fully enclosed cavity design, ensuring that your audio stays private enough for public spaces while still providing an immersive experience.

However, this model is not a one-size-fits-all solution. With an IP55 waterproof rating, it can handle sweat and light rain, but it is not built for submersion. If your workout routine includes lap swimming or heavy water exposure, this unit will not suffice. Additionally, it relies entirely on a Bluetooth 5.4 connection to your smartphone; there is no internal memory for storing tracks. You must carry your phone to listen to music, which adds weight and complexity if you prefer to run without a device tethered to your arm.
The VLOP VP01-Abyss Black stands out as a powerhouse for athletes who demand versatility across different environments. Unlike standard bone conduction headphones, this model features a hybrid driver system that integrates bone conduction vibration with directional air conduction. This dual-driver structure is designed to deliver clearer mids and enhanced bass, addressing a common complaint about traditional bone conduction audio being thin or lacking depth. For users looking for best spatial audio head phones that don't block out the world, this hybrid approach offers a richer soundscape while maintaining situational awareness.
The defining feature of the VLOP is its capability as a true swim headphone. Rated equivalent to IP68/IPX8 waterproof standards, it supports standalone playback in water environments where Bluetooth signals fail. This means you can dive into a pool with confidence, knowing the sealed internal structure protects the electronics. To facilitate this, the device includes 32GB of built-in storage capable of holding thousands of songs. You can switch between Bluetooth streaming on land and internal MP3 playback underwater by triple-clicking the multi-function button, making it a seamless tool for training without needing to drag a phone to the pool deck.
This device also appeals to those who value connectivity flexibility. It supports Bluetooth 6.0 for stable wireless connections on land, with a range of up to 10 meters. However, users should note that the MP3 mode consumes more power than Bluetooth mode, resulting in a playtime of up to 8 hours depending on usage. While this is less than the Gelecek's 10-hour capacity, it remains sufficient for most training blocks. The magnetic charging system allows for quick recharging, though you must ensure a full charge before swimming sessions since the battery drains faster when playing stored files.
• Best for Swimming: VLOP Bone Conduction Headphones are the only choice here due to their IPX8 rating and ability to function underwater with internal storage.
• Best for Battery Life: Gelecek 6.0 wins with a 10-hour average playtime, offering two extra hours of continuous use compared to the VLOP's 8 hours.
• Best for Weight and Comfort: Gelecek 6.0 is lighter at 29 grams, making it less intrusive for all-day wear or long-distance running.
• Best Audio Quality: VLOP offers a hybrid driver system with enhanced bass and clearer mids, whereas Gelecek uses a standard bone conduction driver.
• Best for Phone-Free Listening: VLOP includes 32GB of internal storage, allowing you to leave your phone behind; Gelecek requires a connected phone for all audio.
• Best for Durability: Both use titanium frames, but VLOP's sealed construction offers superior protection against dust and total submersion.
• Best Connectivity: Gelecek uses Bluetooth 5.4, while VLOP utilizes the newer Bluetooth 6.0 standard for potentially smoother land-based connections.
• Best Value for Multi-Sport: VLOP is the clear winner for anyone who needs one device for running, cycling, and swimming simultaneously.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the VLOP Bone Conduction Headphones. While the Gelecek 6.0 is an excellent, featherweight option for dry-land runners, the VLOP's ability to transition seamlessly from a pool to a track gives it far more utility. The inclusion of 32GB internal storage and the hybrid driver system for better bass quality make it a more complete package for serious athletes. If you are looking for a for kids bluetooth solution that grows with them from casual walking to competitive swimming, the VLOP's robustness and versatility make it the smarter long-term investment. It solves the problem of needing separate devices for water and land, offering a comprehensive audio experience that the Gelecek simply cannot match.
Only the VLOP Bone Conduction Headphones are suitable for swimming, as they feature an IPX8 waterproof rating and can operate underwater using their built-in 32GB MP3 storage. The Gelecek 6.0 is only IP55 rated and should never be submerged.
Both models offer open-ear designs that keep you aware of your surroundings, which is helpful for teachers or professionals. However, the VLOP's hybrid drivers provide clearer audio, which might be preferable for video calls or lectures where speech clarity is critical.
The Gelecek 6.0 offers a longer battery life with up to 10 hours of playtime, compared to the VLOP's 8 hours. Keep in mind that the VLOP's battery life may decrease further if you are using the high-power MP3 mode for swimming.
Yes, both models feature ergonomic titanium memory frames designed to adapt to most head shapes. They are compatible with goggles, helmets, and eyeglasses, though adjusting the wearing position can help reduce pressure during extended use on either model.
