Kaling creates an interesting account of her life from childhood to adulthood. Generally, authors should not read their own work as it does not turn out as well. However, Kaling did a fantastic job reading this and really brought her book to life. It sounded like the reader was having an intimate conversation (albeit one-sided) with her instead of being read to. This really is a fun read and one not to be missed.
