We do not require you to create an account or provide any personally identifiable information (such as your name, address, or phone number) to use the core features of GearGuard. The App is designed to be an offline-first vehicle maintenance tracker.
1.2. Usage Data & Device Information
The App may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to:
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
Log Data: Crash logs and performance data to help us identify and fix bugs.
Usage Patterns: Information about how you use the App (e.g., features accessed, time spent on screens) to help us improve the user experience.
1.3. Vehicle Data
Any vehicle information, service logs, photos, or notes you enter into GearGuard are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to any cloud server or third-party database.
2. Permissions
The App may request the following permissions to function properly:
Camera & Gallery: Required to allow you to take or select photos of your vehicles and maintenance receipts.
Notifications: Used to send you reminders for upcoming service intervals.
3. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services that collect information used to identify you or your device for analytics and payment processing purposes.
Google Play Services: Used for app distribution and core functionality.
Google Play Billing: Used to process voluntary donations (In-App Purchases). We do not have access to your credit card information or payment details; these are handled securely by Google.

4. Security
We value your trust in providing us your information. Since your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data primarily depends on the security of your device. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect the limited analytics data we collect, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
