USA Hockey
As a hockey aficionado and major fan of the Olympics, this organization is one that is near and dear to Geannette Wittendorf’s heart. USA Hockey is directly tied to Team USA, and represents an active role in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The athletic foundation empowers young athletes to embrace community leadership. The goal of the organization is to inspire a lifelong love of hockey that translates into values of leadership and inclusivity in the athletes’ community efforts!
Special Olympics
Since 1962, Special Olympics has celebrated the universal language of sports and athleticism. Championing athletes with special needs, Special Olympics strongly values the idea of inclusivity. Geannette Wittendorf is a major supporter of the organization’s efforts. At the local level, she enjoys cheering on Special Olympians and hopes to one day volunteer as Hockey Coach or Official in the near future!
The Boston Bruins Foundation
A true Bostonian always cheers on the boys in black and gold! Since she was young, Geannette Wittendorf has been a major fan of one of the NHL’s strongest and most legendary hockey teams: the Boston Bruins! As a philanthropist and volunteer, she is proud to support the incredible Boston Bruins Foundation. A collaborative non-profit organization, the group abides by the motto ‘B Inclusive!’ Advocating for athletes of all abilities and backgrounds, the Foundation also supports the Massachusetts Special Olympics chapter.
