Hi, my name is Georgios Deskos, and I am the Founder and Chief Scientist at Parametrica Research & Analytics, a company dedicated to advancing risk analytics and research for renewable energy systems and beyond.
My work bridges fundamental atmospheric physics and applied risk modeling, focusing on the dynamics of atmospheric turbulence, wind–wave interaction, and extreme weather events such as tropical and extratropical cyclones. I seek to understand the physics behind these complex processes and translate that knowledge into tools and insights that improve the resilience and performance of renewable energy infrastructure worldwide.
Over the course of my career, I have authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals, covering topics from turbulence-resolving simulations and offshore wind design standards to climate-driven risk assessment for future energy systems.
Through Parametrica Research & Analytics, my goal is to combine rigorous scientific research with advanced computational tools to quantify, predict, and mitigate risks—helping stakeholders unlock the full potential of renewable energy technologies in a changing climate.
