Green Chemical Synthesis
Padova, Italy
The Winter School is designed for PhD students and early-career researchers from universities, research institutions, and private sector companies who are looking to expand their expertise in green chemistry.
As the global emphasis on sustainability and circular economy principles continues to grow, the chemical industry is under increasing pressure to reimagine how materials are designed, produced, and managed. Addressing these challenges requires the integration of green chemistry principles and strategies into the synthesis of molecules, materials, and processes.
This Winter School will explore key aspects of green chemical synthesis, such as the use of eco-friendly reagents and solvents, catalysis and electrocatalysis, biomass transformations, and the synthesis of drugs and peptides. Participants will also gain valuable insights into analytical tools and theoretical and methodological approaches, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to design innovative, sustainable, and circular synthetic routes.
