WHAT’S TRENDING: FORGIVEN COMPLETELY! 

Bible Reading: Luke 22:54–62 

We often find it a little hard to forgive people when they’ve hurt us on a  small private scale. We sometimes find it virtually impossible to extend forgiveness when we’re publicly humiliated, embarrassed, or shamed. When  we finally do get around to forgiving those who have hurt us, we have a tendency to hold the offense fresh  in our mind, so we never forget how it felt. That’s not true forgiveness. Jesus showed us a critical lesson  on forgiveness when He restored Simon Peter after the disciple’s selfish behavior at the Messiah’s trial. 

Reflection: Think of a time when you had to ask someone to forgive you for an awful thing you had done.  Remember that feeling the next time you need to forgive someone. 

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, thank You so much for how You freely forgive me, never counting my sins  against me. Help me to follow Your example of forgiveness as I live in fellowship with others. In Jesus’  name, amen.
