Honor Your Mom

In LESSON 1, children will learn about the story of Ruth. They will see how Ruth honored God by honoring her mother-in-law, and they’ll see how as the great-grandmother to King Davis, Ruth became one of the few moms listed in Jesus’ family tree. 

In LESSON 2, children will focus on the 5th commandment and talk about what it means to honor someone.  Most importantly, in this lesson, children will see that God’s children are called to obey Him, and one way we can obey God is by honoring our parents, while also seeing that on our own we cannot obey God. They will also talk about what it means to honor their mother and thank God for the gift of moms.  

Each student will complete a craft activity that they can give to their mom for Mother’s Day.
