Privacy Policy for G Browser

This Policy explains how the G Browser mobile application handles information. “We” refers to the G Browser developer, reachable at mohammadsajibg1@gmail.com. It covers the app, not a separate website publishing this document. External websites, search engines, advertising, image and device services have their own policies. G Browser has no app account or developer-operated browser-data cloud sync service.

 FEATURES AND LOCAL INFORMATION

G Browser provides browsing, search, search-engine switching, local search suggestions, multiple/recent tabs, session restoration, bookmarks, history, editable quick links, downloads, QR scanning, voice search, sharing/copying, translation, desktop viewing, reader mode, zoom, full-screen viewing, local backup/restore, and privacy/display settings.

The app stores URLs, titles, visit counts/dates, bookmarks, quick links, ordinary tab/session state, download records/file paths and preferences locally. Preferences include System/Light/Dark theme, dynamic colors, dark-webpage options, blue-light reduction, wallpaper dimming, language, homepage, Top/Bottom address-bar placement, search provider, image quality, blocking and download options. System theme reads device brightness; Light and Dark override it. Moving the address bar and engine strip requires no new permission or browsing-data transmission.

Local statistics include pages opened per day, blocked-ad counts and estimated data-saving totals by session/day. These are feature counters, not exact network measurements. This database is not uploaded to a developer-operated browser-data server. Android backup is enabled; OS/device backup services may copy app data under their settings.

BROWSING AND SEARCH

Websites and embedded services may receive URLs, queries, IP address, user agent, language, cookies, referrers, browser/device details, interactions and submitted content. HTTP pages may use unencrypted connections. Desktop mode changes presentation and user agent, not anonymity.

Queries go to your selected Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yandex, Brave Search, Startpage or custom provider. Changing engines on results pages submits the query to the new provider. Search suggestions currently use local history and query templates rather than a remote autocomplete feed; opening them submits the chosen query. External shortcuts open their corresponding services.

 DATA SAVER AND IMAGES

When Data Saver is enabled, eligible HTTP/HTTPS image URLs are rewritten to requests to https://wsrv.nl/ with a quality setting. This external service receives source image URLs, including their parameters, and network/request information needed to retrieve and transform images. This is third-party processing, not purely on-device compression, and may occur in Incognito too. Avoid enabling it for sensitive image URLs. Disable Data Saver to stop new images being routed this way; doing so does not delete information already received by the service.

 WEBSITE AD BLOCKING

When website ad blocking is enabled, G Browser checks eligible page requests against locally bundled advertising/tracking host patterns and hides matching advertising elements in webpages. Matching requests may be prevented from loading. Blocking decisions are made in the app; this feature does not send your browsing history to a separate ad-blocking server.

The app keeps local blocked-ad counts and daily statistics. These are feature counters and may not represent every advertisement or tracking attempt. You can enable or disable website ad blocking in the app. Blocking can affect page layout, login flows or other website functions. It cannot block every advertisement, sponsored result or tracker, and it does not disable G Browser’s own AdMob advertising.

 TRANSLATION AND EXTERNAL SERVICES

Page translation opens Google Translate with the current page URL; Google receives the URL and related requests. Reader mode, zoom and other display adjustments do not remove the original site’s processing. Shortcuts to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, social networks, messaging, email and shopping open independent services; G Browser does not operate their services or accounts.

 ADVERTISING

G Browser displays Google AdMob App Open and Interstitial ads. The Mobile Ads SDK may process IP address, app/ad interactions, diagnostics and device/account identifiers, including Advertising ID and App Set ID where available, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Google and advertising partners process data under their policies, consent signals and device settings. Website ad blocking does not disable app AdMob ads.

Google’s User Messaging Platform manages available consent messages/choices. Where required by Google, revisit “Ad privacy choices” under Settings > Privacy & Security. Android advertising controls can manage Advertising ID. Advertising consent is separate from website/camera/microphone permission

 FIREBASE REMOTE CONFIG

Firebase Remote Config retrieves advertising switches and ad-unit settings, including live updates. Firebase uses an installation identifier and service request information to return configuration. This integration does not upload our local history, bookmarks or backup payload. Advertising configuration can change without a new app download.

 PERMISSIONS AND DEVICE FEATURES

- Internet/network state: browsing, search, connectivity, ads, configuration and downloads.

- Camera: QR scanning and permitted website camera access.

- Microphone: voice recognition and permitted website microphone access.

- Location: website location requests when permission is granted.

- Notifications/foreground download service: progress/status and background downloads.

- File/media selection: uploads, saved QR images, imports, exports, backups and downloads through available Android file/storage facilities.

- Package installation: opening Android’s installer for an APK you choose to install; the app does not silently install software.

Android and website prompts control permission access. Deny/revoke access in device settings; related features may stop working. Voice search uses the device speech service, which may send audio to its provider; recognized text becomes a query when submitted. QR scanning reads camera input or your selected image; opening a decoded destination sends requests there.

 DOWNLOADS, SHARING AND BACKUPS

Downloads process URLs, headers that may include cookies/referrers for authenticated files, filenames, MIME types, sizes, progress/status and destination paths. Files can remain in shared storage after app-data deletion/uninstall. Opening, installing or sharing files gives the chosen app access. Deleting a record and deleting its file are different actions.

Sharing sends the page URL through your chosen app; copying uses the system clipboard. Backup exports settings, quick links and bookmarks as readable JSON, copies it to the clipboard and opens system sharing. It is not a full backup of website logins, history, tabs or downloaded files. Bookmark imports/exports also use readable data. The app does not password-encrypt exports; protect copies and recipients. Restore reads your supplied data and can replace preferences/bookmarks. Uninstalling does not erase recipients’ copies or OS backups.

 COOKIES, BLOCKING AND INCOGNITO

WebView/websites can store cookies, cache, local storage, IndexedDB and related website data for logins, personalization and tracking. Blocking, popup and security controls are best-effort, not guarantees against every tracker, ad or threat. A settings label does not guarantee every third-party request is blocked.

Incognito tabs are excluded from persisted ordinary-tab sessions. The current implementation does not guarantee exclusion from browsing history, isolation/automatic erasure of cookies or website storage, or absence of downloads and counters. Websites, networks, search engines, image/speech services, advertising and device services may still receive information. Incognito is not anonymity or a substitute for explicitly clearing local data.

 PURPOSES AND DISCLOSURE

Information supports browser requests/features, preferences/session restoration, files, local counters, advertising/configuration, support and security. We do not sell the locally stored browser database. Information leaves the device through the third-party requests, sharing, exports and support actions described here.

Our developer email receives messages you send, including your chosen name, email, feedback and attachments; the mail provider processes delivery. Do not send passwords, payment details or authentication codes. Disclosure may also be necessary to comply with applicable law or protect legal rights.

 RETENTION AND YOUR CONTROLS

Local records remain until removed/replaced/cleared or affected by OS backup/restore. Current history is limited to the latest 300 entries. Clear history and cookies/cache with available controls; manage bookmarks, tabs and downloads separately. Clear Android app storage to remove remaining local preferences/counters. Manage shared files, exports, clipboard content and OS backups separately. These actions do not erase third-party records or shared copies.

Third-party providers apply their own retention rules. Support correspondence is kept as needed to address requests and applicable legal obligations; contact us for deletion assistance. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights and contact your relevant data-protection authority. We can assist with information we control; requests about independent providers may need to go to them.

 SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

The app relies on Android protections, app storage and service-specific transport security. No system is guaranteed secure. Readable exports and clipboard contents need particular care. Providers may process information outside your country under their own arrangements and applicable law. Theme, blue-light and wallpaper settings are display options, not medical or security protection.

 CHILDREN

G Browser is a general-purpose browser, not specifically directed to children under 13 or the applicable local digital-consent age. The open web and ads may contain unsuitable content. Parents/guardians should supervise use and configure device/content controls. Contact us if a child has supplied personal information directly to us.

 UPDATES AND CONTAC

We revise this Policy when features/data practices change and update the date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. A website hosting this Policy should disclose its own hosting, cookies and analytics separately.
