Privacy Policy for G Browser

This Privacy Policy explains how G Browser ("G Browser", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the G Browser mobile application.

G Browser is a general-purpose web browser. It provides web browsing, search, multiple tabs, bookmarks, browsing history, quick-access shortcuts, downloads, QR scanning, voice search, website permissions, and privacy controls.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information handled by the G Browser application itself. It does not replace the privacy policies of websites, search engines, advertising providers, Android system services, speech services, app stores, or other third-party services that you access through the app.

G Browser does not currently provide a G Browser account, sign-in system, or developer-operated cloud synchronization service.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The app may store the following information locally so its browser features work:

- Browsing history, page titles, URLs, visit counts, and last-visit times.

- Bookmarks, bookmark details, and quick-access website shortcuts.

- Open tabs, recent tabs, tab titles, URLs, and browsing-session state.

- The selected search engine, homepage, language, theme, privacy options, and other app preferences.

- Download URLs, file names, file types, progress, status, local paths or content URIs, and related download records.

- Website cookies, cache, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB data, and other Android WebView website data.

- Imported or restored bookmark and settings data.

This information is primarily stored on your device. G Browser does not operate a developer-owned server that receives or synchronizes your local browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, or downloaded files.

Android backup features or device-manufacturer backup services may back up some app data according to your device and account settings. Those services are controlled by their respective providers.

3. Information Sent When You Browse

When you visit a website, perform a search, or use an online service, information must be transmitted to that service for it to respond. Depending on the service, this may include:

- The URL or search terms you enter.

- Your IP address and approximate location inferred from the IP address.

- Browser user agent, device type, operating-system information, language, and network information.

- Cookies, website storage, referrer information, page requests, form data, and interactions with website content.

- Files, photos, audio, video, or other information that you intentionally upload to a website.

- Camera, microphone, location, notification, or media information when a website requests it and you grant permission.

Search queries are sent to the search engine you select, which may include Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, Brave Search, Yandex, Startpage, or a custom search provider. Each search engine and website processes information under its own privacy policy.

4. Advertising and Google AdMob

G Browser uses Google AdMob to display App Open and Interstitial advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud-prevention purposes, including:

- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location.

- App launches, ad views, taps, and other user-product interactions.

- Diagnostic information such as app or SDK performance, crashes, hangs, and launch timing.

- Device and account identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID, App Set ID, and related identifiers when available and permitted.

- Device, operating-system, app-version, language, and network information.

Google and its advertising partners may use this information to provide, measure, personalize, limit, and protect advertising, subject to applicable law, your consent choices, device settings, and Google's policies.

Where legally required, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request or manage advertising consent. You may also control ad personalization or reset/delete the advertising ID through Android settings and Google's advertising controls.

5. Permissions

G Browser may request the following Android permissions only to provide related features:

- **Internet and network state:** Load websites, search, display ads, detect connectivity, and download files.

- **Camera:** Scan QR codes and allow camera access for websites after permission is granted.

- **Microphone:** Provide voice search and allow microphone access for websites after permission is granted.

- **Location:** Provide location to a website only when the website requests it and you grant Android and website permission.

- **Notifications:** Show download start, progress, pause/resume, failure, and completion notifications.

- **Storage or media access:** Select files for upload, scan a saved QR image, import or export bookmarks, restore backups, and save/open/manage downloads where Android requires such access.

- **Foreground service:** Continue user-requested downloads while the app is in the background and show an ongoing notification.

- **Install packages:** Open the Android installation flow for an APK that you explicitly downloaded and chose to install. G Browser does not silently install applications.

You can grant, deny, or revoke permissions through Android settings. Denying a permission may disable the related feature but does not prevent unrelated browser functions from working.

6. Voice Search and QR Scanning

Voice search may use speech-recognition services installed or configured on your device. Audio may be processed by the device's speech provider according to that provider's privacy policy. G Browser places recognized text into the search field.

QR codes may be scanned with the camera or selected from device storage. Detected text or URLs are used to perform the action you request. A QR code can contain unsafe or misleading content, so review destinations before continuing.

7. Downloads and Files

Downloads are initiated by you. The app may process download URLs, request headers, file names, file sizes, MIME types, progress, and local storage locations to start, pause, resume, retry, open, share, install, unzip, or delete files.

Downloaded content is stored on your device. Files may remain accessible to other apps with suitable permission. Deleting a download from G Browser may also delete the associated device file when you confirm that action. If a file is deleted outside G Browser, its local download record may be removed or become unavailable after synchronization.

G Browser does not verify that every downloaded file is safe. You are responsible for files you download, open, share, unzip, or install.

8. Cookies, Cache, and Website Storage

Websites may use cookies, cache, local storage, IndexedDB, tracking technologies, and scripts through Android WebView. These technologies may remember sessions, provide website features, measure activity, or personalize content and advertising.

You can clear cache, cookies, and browsing history from G Browser settings. Clearing local browser data does not necessarily delete information already received or retained by a website, search engine, advertising provider, or other third party.

9. Incognito Browsing

Incognito mode is intended to reduce local retention of browsing history for private sessions. It does not make you anonymous online. Websites, employers or schools, internet providers, network operators, search engines, advertising providers, downloaded files, and device-level services may still observe or retain activity.

10. How Information Is Used

Information handled by the app is used to:

- Provide browsing, search, tabs, bookmarks, history, quick access, downloads, voice, QR, and website-permission features.

- Restore browser state and remember user preferences.

- Display and manage user-requested downloads.

- Display, measure, and protect advertising through Google AdMob.

- Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.

- Meet legal, regulatory, consent, and app-store requirements.

11. Sharing and Disclosure

G Browser does not sell your locally stored browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, or downloaded files.

Information may be disclosed or transmitted:

- To websites, search engines, and online services that you choose to access.

- To Google AdMob and its advertising partners as described above.

- To Android, WebView, speech-recognition, app-store, device backup, or device-manufacturer services needed for requested functionality.

- To another app when you intentionally share a link, file, backup, or bookmark export.

- When required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

- When reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce rights, or address security threats.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Local browser data is retained until you delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, or Android/device backup behavior removes or restores it. Download records may remain until deleted or synchronized with device storage.

You can:

- Delete individual or all browsing-history entries.

- Delete bookmarks, tabs, quick links, and download records.

- Clear cookies, cache, and website data from Settings.

- Delete downloaded files through G Browser or device storage.

- Clear all app data or uninstall G Browser through Android settings.

- Manage advertising choices through the consent message, Android advertising settings, or Google My Ad Center.

For information held by a website, search engine, Google, an advertiser, or another service, submit a request directly to that service.

13. Data Security

We use Android platform protections and transport security provided by the services involved. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Nevertheless, no browser, network, WebView, storage system, or online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

The app may warn about insecure, unavailable, or suspicious pages, but those controls are best-effort and cannot detect every threat. Avoid entering sensitive information on untrusted websites and keep Android, Android System WebView, and Google Play services updated.

14. International Data Transfers

Websites, search engines, Google, advertisers, and other third-party providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing and transfer safeguards are governed by their respective terms, privacy policies, and applicable laws.

15. Children's Privacy

G Browser is a general-purpose browser and is not specifically directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their country. We do not knowingly operate an account system or developer server that collects personal information directly from children.

Because the app can access the open web and display advertising, parents and guardians should supervise children's use, configure device and content controls, and review website and advertising privacy practices. If you believe a child has provided information through a third-party website or service, contact that service directly and contact us using the method below for app-related assistance.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information processed by a service. Most G Browser-created browser records are stored locally and can be managed using the app or Android settings.

Requests relating to Google advertising data should be made through Google's privacy and advertising controls. Requests relating to a visited website or search engine should be directed to that provider.

 17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when features, permissions, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will display a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or its store listing where appropriate.

 18. Contact

For privacy questions, deletion assistance, or complaints, use **Settings > Leave feedback** in G Browser or contact the developer through the support email displayed on the official G Browser app-store listing.

When contacting us, do not include passwords, payment information, authentication codes, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
