About me

I am a statistician and scholar with research interests in flexible statistical modeling, modern regression methodologies, and machine learning. I am passionate about teaching, mentoring undergraduate students, and data-driven discoveries. My students often know me as Dr. Wara. I am originally from Sri Lanka, and in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and son. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, gardening, and caring for my freshwater aquarium.
