I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh and have completed post-doctoral stints in the UK (EU project) and Seoul National University, South Korea. In addition to research, I have also been a data scientist, software engineer, consultant and lecturer across Europe and Asia with around 25 years' experience.

Interests

My background and experiences have been diverse across many areas of AI, software engineering and data science, including knowledge representation & reasoning and machine learning. I am keen to apply these knowledge to hard problems such as video processing, drug discovery, education and others. The dream is to bring symbolic and modern AI together to create more interpretable systems that will benefit many complex domains. I am also passionate about teaching and public engagement.
